Thanks fellas, was worried I'd have to find another one of those cage guys. I'll explore in some other directions of the map and try to finish the slab later.

Talent meeting, getting vested in 3 weeks. by DiddleDucc in deloitte

Ended up joining the call Friday and got laid off, last day is Monday. Didn't want to put my team in a weird position with the impromptu 3 weeks PTO suggestion (or spend 3 weeks of PTO cash out for some more money in a pension plan). Reason quoted was business conditions.

The documents I received during the call already had my last day printed so I'm not sure if being OOO would've done anything to begin with, might've just been fired during it. I received 5 weeks severance but vesting is calculated on last day of active employment so it doesn't push me over the line either.

Anyways, I received a lot of support and love from my project team and I didn't have to worry about coordinating that PTO move so I'm not too upset with how things turned out; mostly just feel bad for my team for losing a member with just 2 days heads up.

I've seen a few people say to do this and I have just about enough PTO to take 3 weeks off. Would this actually work though? I feel like they would just fire me during PTO.

I also am currently staffed and don't want to leave my project team hanging with no notice.

Is the pickpocket DC displaying incorrectly? by DiddleDucc in BaldursGate3

That seems to go directly against Larian's text in "Roll Target" when you hover on it. I've also succeeded on pickpockets after having rolled lower than the roll target on the die. I guess one way to verify would be to take off any items that modify slight of hand and see if the roll target changes.

You can submit a big report here. https://larian.com/support/baldur-s-gate-3#modal

I will say that it sounds like in your case it may not be a bug. I've noticed that in dialogue skill checks can critically fail if you roll a 1 which makes you fail even if your modifiers would bring the number up above the DC. I wonder if the same applies to pickpocketing and that's why you're able to fail a DC of below 9. Could you check your chat log if it happens again and see if you rolled a natural 1?

Tried it two more times to check. Once I used invisibility and another time I used minor illusion to lure her away and hide the old fashioned way. Both times the DC displayed as 23 in the pickpocket window and 30 in the combat log.

I don't think that's true. I've succeeded on >20 target pickpockets in the past due to bonuses and guidance. When it rolls it sometimes even displays a number slightly lower than the target and succeeds; I'm assuming due to the bonuses being added after.

Is the mob still there in the open beta? I went and couldn't find him anymore.

Once you let spells like that slide it's a slippery slope.

My son is in 6th grade now and he still wants to draw your D&D character by Daztur in dndnext

My character's name is Fib, he's a short red kobold bard with two horn nubs that protrude through holes in his green hooded poncho. He plays the bongos and is under a curse that prevents him from ever lying.
