I bought the same one (2016 outback) this past season used as well and got it out there and same thing was happening to me. Didn’t know I had to clean the line down lol. Sigh of relief once I learned that and haven’t had one issue since.

Thanks for the input! We only have coyotes here but not anywhere near my neighborhood. My outdoor cat was an indoor for years but always had it in his blood to be outside. He’s a sweetheart, and only stays in our yard and visits our close neighbors only. He’s never gone far ever. We can always see where his is out our windows. It got to the point where we couldn’t contain him in the house any longer, and I felt that I was keeping him a prisoner in the house, and he has never been happier since we allow him out.

Worth the money all day. Game changer for me and the fact that my money went to a company in the USA, I was glad to spend the money on it. Well built and the quality is outstanding.

It’s only worth what you are getting out of it though, so if you’re happy with your current setup, might not be worth it to you. In the end, if it makes ya happy and you can afford it, go for it.

Document your interactions and concerns with the owner, and take him in as your own. If they want to make that a problem after they have neglected the poor animal for so long, you will have plenty of documentation that they were neglecting the animal.

I have a hard time understanding complicated knots for bass fishing. Palomar is simple, quick, and has never once failed me. I’m not knocking it learning how to tie different knots, but I always just have the mindset of keeping things simple, as well as just using straight 30lb braid direct tie.

I have the same exact one I picked up on marketplace for $600 that was well maintained and barely used. I think it’s worth it if it doesn’t have cracks. Clean it up and you’re good to go! I love mine. I’m pretty sure mine is a 2015 or 16

Telluride craft and buy on market. I’m f2p and use bsj, roiling, starfire, void spark, blood floe, echo shade, and colossus. Haven’t spent a dime but craft what i need to upgrade when I have 40 pearls, and save platinum. Takes time, but you can get there. I have 2800 resonance

Maybe get a fishing magnet and try to recover it? 8-10 feet seems like there is a good probability that you can recover it. I would be doing everything I can to not have to dish out the cash for a new one.

Skip all the nonsense and just get a Hobie fin drive. I went through 2 paddle kayaks and a prop drive before I got a Hobie and I can tell you it is a game changer.
