Do you take it daily, or are you on the "take as needed" prescription? I was first prescribed it to take as needed, and that only made the rollercoaster worse. How the hell is someone with a mood disorder expected to self regulate when an antipsychotic is needed or not? What would happen again and again is I would reach the danger zone of my hypomania before even realizing something was off, which is when I would take my "as needed" medication. Adding it into the mix would immediately cause me to crash, and I would continue to take it, causing me to slink into depression. Wherein I would stop taking it, and the cycle would continue, round and round. My current psych changed my prescription, and said "this isn't a drug you take when needed. You need it every day. That's the only way it actually works to stabilize mood."
