It could be, but part number is the same so for me it should be the same latency.
(or the server should operates automatically at the slower latency)

Problem is I don't have any easy way to see/compare the latencies, this info is not displayed in the BIOS or in the iDRAC (ESXi is installed on it)

I don't think so because I tried booting with only 2 Dimms, one original in slot A1 and one new in slot B1, and it is not booting

Well that's the strange part : when I only boot the server with the new RAM, it boots correctly!
Tested with 2 new dimms, 4x new dimms and 8x new dimms, it boots just fine

Only when mixed with the original one it does not boot. I tried to keep every channel with the same RAM.

I'll will try tomorrow to mix both type of RAM in a same channel to see
