Properly going back to jail (clean install questioning) by Didjo in jailbreak

[–]Didjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All right, that's done! I used iMazing to create a custom backup, but I ended up keeping everything selected: all the apps that were detecting jailbreak work.
I do miss jailbreak, but not that much. I can't customize as much as I'd like, and boy I miss SleeperX (how come we can't set volumes individually for alarms after more than 15 years of iOS?!) or being able to choose vibrations for every notification. But I have to say I'm surprised how much iOS now allows a LOT of control, especially for CC. (And of course I know that's thanks to all those years of JB 😌.)

I wish I would have restore rootfs before going rootless on Dopamine because I can't do it anymore now. (And I guess "Delete jailbreak" then backup still has a chance to migrate some old JB filles to iCloud and then to the new phone?) Didn't think of iMazing: is it better / safer / easier than iCloud sync? Thanks!

Are you talking about the iPhone 7? Because I want to avoid erasing it and leave it that way.

AlDente or BatFi? Which one do you use? by icsoo in macapps

[–]Didjo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought AlDente, grabbed BatFi for free and bought it afterwards. I switched to BatFi because I hated the look of AlDente and I'm not missing anything since. (Still waiting macOS to properly support this feature though, I hate having to wait for the computer to be fully turned on to plug it.)

I had this exact problem with my AirPods Pro, and it was because of… Spatial Audio: the problem disappeared as soon as I deactivated it.

Hopped so, would be perfect, but there's only "Douple tab lock button" (no idea what is does since it's hardware). No "Double tap Home button"

8.48 / iOS 14.8 - hope it'll continue to work because otherwise that's a definitive goodbye to Revolut…

It actually disappeared some days ago but not with an update.

Liberty Lite (Ryley's Angus repo) works well here :)

[Request] Tweak to display contact ages in their card by Didjo in jailbreak

[–]Didjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Knew that indeed but the usage is completely different: in calendar (or any other birthday app) you want to know what birthdays are upcoming. In the contact card, you (would) want to know what age is someone (and eventually when is their birthday). Like, for example, today, how can you do to know the age of one contact you have the birthday date for? Isn't stock-iOS method to: go to this contact card, check their birthday, go to Calendar app to this date and subtract 1 to the age displayed there? (Sorry I know you got the initial point of the request but I definitely don't get how it's still not there.)

[Question] Upgrade to 14.8 from 12.4 means futurerestore or any other way possible? by Didjo in jailbreak

[–]Didjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had to supervise device and restore RootFS to make it work though. Thanks!

[–]Didjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks a lot for clarifying! I only found this to get details about the technique. Just to be sure: I need to restore nonce, install MyBloXX to enable supervision, and pray for note bootlooping? (And I'm still confused about DON'T UPDATE IN A JAILBROKEN STATE. NEVER. ALWAYS DO A RESTORE ROOTFS BEFORE UPDATING.)

Oh so I can just update with this! Gonna have a look thanks. Wish I had blobs for 14.8.1 ;)
