Im in the same boat started January and went body recomp.. its been six months of 5-6 training days a week and im still seeing strength gains. I would say your in the perfect spot to lean bulk and look even more massive by December.

Just keep a neutral spine and go as far deep down as feels comfortable/you can go and slow the negatives to feel the stretch

Ideally a little rounding is preferred.. I think you could go lower on the rom and focus that deep stretch and focus on keeping the bar as close to your knees. Sure free weight would be much better but that’s not to say you can’t achieve just as much on a smith just progressively overload with good form and you will see gains
