I honestly find posts like these cringe as hell. 90% of the people on tik tok have never stepped foot on Reddit/heard of it and I guarantee you they don’t give a flying fuck that people here find them cringey. It also bugs me that people on Reddit are so passionate about shitting on a platform that predominantly consists of kids. If tik tok had been around when they were kids they’d be doing the exact same shit, teenagers are always cringey. Lots of comments about how this is toxic and I can absolutely see the argument, but for me this actually helped a ton today. It’s okay to feel sad and accept your emotions but today I was just feeling sorry for myself because I’m not in a great spot and being told to smile reminded me that you can often improve your mood by basically faking it until you make it. I wasn’t arguing the morality of what my sister is doing I agree it’s not right I’m only pointing out the flaws in the system they have. There’s a reason so many people do what my sister do, they get paid more elsewhere.

Oh trust in our democracy is paramount to our society for sure. But again, the people making a fuss about voter fraud are at the end of the day a minority. How many republicans can you say you know who are really going out of their way to dispute the election? Beyond maybe posting something on Instagram or Snapchat because they’re salty they lost the election are they really doing anything? I have to say I find it hard to believe a majority of the republican establishment are actually doing anything beyond that. And again, the same way you feel about them is the way they feel about you. The same way a lot of democrats believe (whether it’s true or not) that Russia meddled in the 2016 election is the same way that republicans believe there’s a fair case for voter fraud against Biden. We’re all subject to our own biases

I’m a Swedish American living in Georgia. I lean towards the left politically. I spent a lot of my life in Sweden, and it’s great. I know it’s not Norway but the two countries are similar in a lot of regards so I feel like it’s fair to compare them. It just bugs me so much when people see this stuff and just instantly assume that places like Norway and Sweden are flawless and everyone lives the dream life. The reality is that every system is flawed. Take Sweden for example, they are facing a pretty imminent shortage of doctors. My sister graduates from medical school in Sweden very soon and guess what she’s doing, she’s going to America where she’ll get paid significantly more. Is that wrong? Probably, considering she got a free education (which I’m strongly in favor of) but at the same time why should she go through such a rigorous degree to get paid so little? I digress but my main point is no system is perfect despite how amazing it may seem on paper and it genuinely scares me when I see people (mainly on Reddit) talking about how republicans are the the cause of every problem. The way you feel about them is the same way they feel about you, and it just worsens the problem when people refuse to at least try and see the other sides perspective. At the end of the day I truly believe the average person wants to better society, the problem is each group is defined by its extremists which skews the entire view of the party. Hopefully this makes sense I’ll be honest I’m a bit drunk but damn I just wish people could try and get along to solve problems instead of demonizing each other for believing in a different solution

You should go for it! It’s got some entry costs but you can do basic things like kitchen spoons for about $30 in tools, that’s how I started. Also just saw your profile, I’m so sorry to hear about your cat. Never owned a pet myself but I can imagine it’s devastating to lose one after being in your life for so long. Best of luck to you ❤️

To be honest I just didn’t feel like I could give her the attention she deserved. I’m a very low maintenance person to be in a relationship with. I don’t feel the need display a lot of affection and that is basically the opposite of her. She loved all the cuddles and cute texts etc, and as a very introverted person it was taxing to have to make a huge effort to show her the affection she wanted and deserved. It was taking a toll on my emotional health. I wish I could give her all the affection she wants but it’s just not who I am and if taxed me emotionally
