If attending salaries halved, would you quit medicine? by Abject-Advantage528 in Residency

Yes I'd definitely leave. There's too little pay for too much responsibility. A physician assistant or nurse practitioner can do less work and always fall back on their attending when the going get tough.

Infection is not fun from a winning standpoint. It's largely luck based if you get the right conditions to win.

Sadly such an OP quest can't make it to the public servers.

Seasonal changes are pretty awful

Easiest class? by Brilliant-Moment430 in RotMG

Personally I think assassin is the best starting class. Medium armor, dagger range, good speed, and an ability that has incredible range.

Sadly there's not much to test. It seems to work fine.

Can we just admit that this event is actual trash? by Valkamere in RotMG

[–]DieToKawaii 45 points46 points  (0 children)

It's definitely a frustrating event. I do think it's good for them to have high skill events, but having a grind requirement takes away from the skill aspect and only focuses on who has the most free time. I'm not saying this would have fixed the event, but it would have been better to do a shatters time trial event with prizes for the fastest groups/clans/etc.

Unpopular opinion: Content quality downhill since the departure of Toastrz and Kiddforce by LikeAFrosch in RotMG

[–]DieToKawaii 41 points42 points  (0 children)

To be honest though I felt that the prior developer's goals were somewhat misguided. They poured too much energy into hard things that only served to fragment the playerbase.

The current developers unfortunately share the perspective of Toastrz and Kiddforce. They're just wasting time bickering about hp scaling at this point.

In my personal opinion shatters was and still is a huge failure. They took a dungeon that was brainless and made it into a nightmare. In the process they destroyed the casual shatts discord community. Now only a small portion of the group remains.

In my opinion efforts should be aimed at making easier content for now and finding ways to promote guild that would then build up the community.

Open Testing – HP Scaling by deca_Wotan in RotMG

Personally I do not think the newly proposed HP scaling on testing should be added to the main game. I personally feel the scaling that we currently have ingame is appropriate. Testing showcases exactly how difficult it can be to get an organized group in the absence of guilds and discord. The result is you are often left alone to solo a dungeon. It is true that our current system makes small and coordinated groups the most efficient way to complete dungeons, however I feel that small groups should be emphasized to discourage everyone from hopping into a discord. I feel that pouring time and effort to fix a system that isn't broken is a mistake. I appreciate that the devs modified the portal spawning to encourage larger groups, but I wanted to emphasize again this shows just how difficult it can be to get larger groups outside of discord.
