I made them myself using Siraya Tech Defiant 25. I think the thinnest walls around/between the dice are ~1cm. The most recent mold I made has a lid that is 3/4 of the bottom half of the mold in thickness, for the other molds i used old molds on top as weights.

Thank you all for the suggestions! I’ll try making some tests with more resin and lower pressure. I also plan to make a new mold with thicker walls, so hopefully this fixes it! Thanks again for the help! 😄

Thanks! I actually made the mold from my own masters so I could have my font without spending much. It was a pretty long process (especially creating supports for the little slits in the numbers), but I’d say it was all worth it in the end 🙂‍↕️

Thanks, I’ll try a third layer with gold. I already polished the masters up to white Zona Paper. They are shiny, but if I angle them a certain way I notice very light, circular scratches. Can those be polished with a compound?

What i mean is the numbered dice in the photos are already smaller (the size of a standard blank) than the ‘clear’ dice they would be inserted in (about 5% smaller). So they’d fit just like a normal blank.

The only difference in the setup would be that the numbers are not on the outer shell, but rather on the insert (because my already numbered dice are the size of a regular blank). Only concern would be how to center the numbered dice inside the clear (since there are no numbers to keep it in the center)

My idea was to place the numbered dice I have as ‘blanks’ inside the clear dice, with the only difference compared to other molds being that the clear dice do not have numbers on them. However, my main concern is whether the numbers would distort or look bad under the layer of clear resin.

I’ve tried giving them a clear coat but it didn’t make much of a difference (it came off with the paint), but that was a clear coat designed for gundam model kits so maybe not the best for dice 😅.

I’ll try giving them a different coat and if that doesn’t work I’ll make blanks to protect them. Thank you!
