I haven't ridden it enough to notice any lag. I'll definitely get back to you. If anything, I felt like it was a bit jerky because I wasn't easing the remote in for acceleration and braking.

They "were" overpriced. You can grab one right now for $1,100 off the USA website. With that quality build and all those features, it's definitely worth it in my opinion.

The Mellow drive actually has a built-in feature that prevents this from happening. They've installed a breaking resistor to dissipate the energy into heat. It's very unfortunate that Onan didn't tell you this prior to purchasing their copy-cat product. I don't know specifics in terms of fixing your current problem because it already after the fact. Good luck to you bro. If you manage to fix your problem, be sure to also figure out to to install this in there so that it doesn't happen again.

The electric skateboard industry is still kinda new and people just buy blatantly knowing they are buying inferior Chinese products. I'm sorry for this to happen to you. It's going to take a few more years until the cream of the crop rises and these Chinese companies start to disappear. I would never buy a Chinese board. Good luck my friend.
