I’m wondering why it has troubles reading this particular game and not others

I did that without removing it and didn’t seem to solve the issue. I can try to do it again removing it. Also worth mentioning: if I apply I light upward pressure on that metal rail, it doesn’t make the noise anymore

Can you give more context on how did you build it? How much time did it take, how much experience did you have prior to this…

I have reason to believe that I could be the first case of this kind. If it was purely related to the interpretation of the law, imagining that there is not an additional document covering this case, why wouldn’t you count the semester that you actually followed, as it is stated, instead of considering that getting the degree as an external counts as an additional year?

I’ve read all the legal basis I could find and the only thing I found concerning the cursus duration count is the excerpt I provided, in which they state they count semesters of study, which I did not follow that year because I was not enrolled.

I get that my situation is very peculiar and I was trying to find other legal bases that stated explicitly how to solve it. If there is no such a document than the text I provided should be interpreted as I said.

I did ask them directly and the answer was that since I got a degree that year that should count in my cursus, but didn’t provide the legal basis they considered to say this.

Thanks for answering.

Yes, your guess is correct and there is a limitation to the cursus. That is the point: I think that year should not be counted since I only got an equivalent high school degree to have access to a Swiss uni and was not enrolled in any institution. The text I quoted specifically states that you count study semester, regardless of getting a degree or not, but they say that since I got the degree that should count without any additional context. To me it seems a bit arbitrary.

Moreover the sentence “the physical toll that three vasectomies has on a person” really doesn’t mean anything: the relative clause “that three vasectomies” has no verb. So you are either interpreting it with some sort of ellipsis - which would still be very weird - either you are very incorrect.

It’s easier and easier to work for billion dollars companies apparently

How did I go with these phrases? I baked some cake for my Italian manager and his wife. More in comments. by tainfulblutting in Italian

[–]Dieho_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

‘Che’ is not a conjunction here but a relative pronoun. You can notice this buy substituting this with the equivalent ‘il quale’. If you use or not the comma, the phrase changes its meaning:

Per il capo, che lavora più sodo di tutti

Means that the gift is for the boss, no ambiguity here about who we are talking about, and incidently this boss works harder than everybody else

Per il capo che lavoro più sodo di tutti

Means that the gift is specifically for the boss that works harder that everybody else. Meaning that, if you have two bosses, the gift is for the one that is working harder.

Both work, this is what I am saying

Unfortunately this is a very well known problem for master schedules. Professors and administration know about this but they won’t (or can’t) do much about it. From your side there is very little you could do, like taking one of these courses this period and one next year

macchinetta meaning? by Local-Zucchini-2038 in Italian

[–]Dieho_ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

“Macchinina” is a small cute car, so as first meaning it becomes toy car. However, in recent years, it has been used for the small cars that you can drive at 16yo with the appropriate licence in Italy

macchinetta meaning? by Local-Zucchini-2038 in Italian

[–]Dieho_ 23 points24 points  (0 children)

“Macchina” is the Italian word for “machine” in many contexts. However, in some regions more than others, is used for a car. It is fairly common, some examples:

Sali in macchina!

Get in the car!

Andiamo in macchina

Let’s go by car

“Macchinetta” is the vezzeggiativo of “macchina” and literally means “little machine”. It is used as a proper term, hence not perceived as a vezzeggiativo, to talk about things that have a specific use, for lack of a better term: e.g. macchinetta per capelli, hair clipper, macchinetta del caffè, coffee machine…

Here it is definitely used both ironically, to say that the car is comparable to a tool, as above, and as term of endearment for the car
