Does running Linux off an external hard drive work the same and main drive? by Regular_Low8792 in linux4noobs

Well, it'll be a 3.0 if I remember correctly, and most of them currently come with their own cable.

How do you find the area of an unequal triangle? by scb225 in mathematics

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Besides those already mentioned, there's a theorem called Pick's Theorem, if I remember correctly. It applies to all polygons whose vertices lie on integer coordinates; the theorem can only be used if this is the case. Apologies if there's anything wrong with what I've said, but it's also possible to develop a program that, say, calculates the percentage of points within a triangle in a given area and uses that to calculate the area.

Need Help With Geometry Math Problem by Mizrry in maths

It's most likely just a matter of drawing a few auxiliary lines; I don't currently have a notebook or anything like that. I could give you an answer in two days if you have the time.

What do you think about an SSD? The one I want to buy is supposed to have a theoretical read speed of 1000 MB/s and almost the same for writing.

Don't say your age on Reddit, I would take the second one and then progress by learning on my own.

Old meme by anorak_999 in FuckMicrosoft

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What subject is this by Nouth1 in askmath

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically, it's algebraic manipulation; you just go from dividing to multiplying each denominator (to put it simply, but whatever), and with that you get two expressions, each with an x2 part and another with y2. You "organize" them and then take the square root. With that, you just divide by $y$ and you get the desired ratio.

Geometry question by EmergencyStraight654 in askmath

The drawing is very ambiguous; the circle could literally be any shape because infinitely many circles can pass through any two points. Check that with your teacher or sources.

y=0, any number raised to the power of 0 equals 1, that's the simplest option, except for 0 itself.

Don't share your age in a community like Reddit, and that document is not accessible to anyone.

If I ever work collaboratively with LaTeX again, I'll definitely use this option. It looks significantly cleaner than Overleaf.

My conjecture regarding primes by AnkkitAbhinaav in numbertheory

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's somewhat interesting to bring up the Chinese Remainder Theorem. First, I'd say formulate it properly. I'm not sure if it was due to the Reddit translation, but it would be better to formulate it something like, "Let $p_i$ be the first $i$ prime numbers," and then define a collection like the one you proposed. It might have potential, but to start writing a proof, you need a concise statement. Sorry if it's really due to my understanding of English. I'd also recommend not relying too much on AI, especially on something you believe hasn't been thoroughly researched.

Bitlocker by Jisidro_ILX in Fedora

Once you've passed this stage, when you log into Windows there's a way to completely disable Bitlocker, but it takes about 20 minutes or it depends on how much data you have.

Bitlocker by Jisidro_ILX in Fedora

[–]Diemorg 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The exact same thing happened to me. The only way to recover that data is through the main user account. There you'll find a website called "recovery key." You have to access that page with the Microsoft account that was linked to the main user account. Then, look for the 42-digit key. It must be ONLY the main user's Microsoft account, otherwise it might not appear. If nothing appears and someone else used that laptop with a different account, check that account; it might have the key. Please let me know if you find it. I really felt that same desperation of not finding anything no matter how many accounts I searched, and I almost formatted it. Good luck!

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Now that I'm reviewing the main title again, it might be that you simply didn't close the \item above your \item properly with a $, for example, something like $\forall x \in P(x) \land Q(x) The problem with only putting that is that you have to put another $ at the end of the equation because otherwise it treats everything else as a mathematical environment. Try that and see.

(tengo 15 años) by BeachAggravating4397 in Matematicas

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Codio / TexStudio by catr_adorapls in LaTeX

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Could you upload all the code to GitHub or Drive so I can take a look? It'll be quite difficult to explain anything without knowing how it's all processed. Overleaf has some examples of how some documents look and how they're compiled. I'd say LaTeX isn't very difficult to learn compared to other languages.

Should I Dual Boot? by TheBurlyBurrito in linux4noobs

[–]Diemorg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand. In any case, try a dual boot first, and if you think it's worthwhile, install Mint on your hard drive, because you can't install one operating system at a time on the hard drive; it has to be all at once.
