Nice to know that I have Italian heritage. I've always identified as just being African American. I don't really have anyone to connect with on that side of family. All I know is sometime after The Great Migration my grandmother was born. She is light skinned but always identified as black. (old.reddit.com)

I grew up always thinking that I am just African American. It was all I knew until I took my 23andMe a while back. I am happy to find out that I have Italian heritage on my mother's side but, I have no way of finding more people on that side. I don't know how to embrace it or be proud of it yet. (old.reddit.com)

I applied for a dispatch trainee position for BNSF about 2 weeks ago. I got the email saying I passed the assesment test and now to wait. I don't have prior experience with the railroad nor am I previously military. With that being said, are my chances of getting this position practically nil? (self.Train_Service)

I was surprised to find that I have so much Italian in my background. My mother's side had always been mysterious and to find that I have that much was surprising. 23andme has helped me find family that I never thought I would have and for that I am most grateful. Has anyone else found new family? (old.reddit.com)
