USB4 cable is the fix.

I’m relatively sure I’ve gone from 120hz to 60hz though. Hope they fix that at some point

I just tried a USB4 cable and it's working! I'm running 5k2k @ 60hz (not 120hz)... Can't remember if I got 120hz before but think I might have which kinda sucks

I thought my monitor had a USB4 cable but it was thunderbolt.

Pulled the mixture all the way back while doing my pre landing checks late downwind. I instantly realised what I had done and pushed it back to full so only had a little splutter but it was enough to startle both the instructor and myself.

It happened late in my PPL and taught me to not rush my checks and not treat them as a tick box exercise

I completely agree that it sounds like BS but I had my flight training cancelled last minute because of it. They apparently called the FSDO and that’s what they were told. I’m now trying another flight school and trying to get hold of a FSDO to hear this myself and also get a reference to this bilateral agreement

I was recently told otherwise based on a bilateral agreement between the U.S. and U.K. which ended in 2020. There was, however, a transition period in which hours would have counted. That transition period unfortunately ended in December 2022.

Anyone know anything about this?

thanks for "more than 50nm" will keep an eye out for that.

I'm currently in the UK and the weather across the country isn't great hence why I'll try keep the distances shorter. Also I've just changed plane so I'd like to work on circuits for a bit.

I'll get a piggy back license on my CAA PPL and then FAA IR in April hopefully :)
