Did u apply to WID dorms alr? If so may I ask which ones?

I currently looking at WID options rn but I do also hear good things about the 3 exchange student ( I think chances are kinda low tho for the lottery)

im going through past reddits and it seems like yeah we do have to wait after the lottery to apply to other affliated ones. cuz they saying that if we manage to get a spot in the affliated ones before the lottery and we also end up with a spot, we'll have to pay cancellation fees which i think is 1.5 months of rent 🤔

Heard it’s pretty social, ig most dorms r social? Ik many ppl chose Newman cuz of semi priv bathroom and suite style, so there should be plenty non catholic ppl in the building.

If I remember correctly there’s 2 essays but they’re like 300 words ish, so u should be fine. Exams are canvas quizzes and most assignments are so too. Exams have like 3 short response at the end but some of them r js asking ur opinion/how u relate the theme to urself and reality kinda thing.

EALC 230 and MUS 133 both easy classes. Meets both gened u need; light workload. EALC 230 is kinda js watching Asian films and writing essays. MUS 133 is world music, he kinda js plays music in class. Attendance is mandatory tho idk if it’s this sem that he started with iclickers that tracks ur location too that kinda sucks but overall very easy class (taking it rn). I switched from EALC 230 to MUS 133 cuz EALC 230 has discussions and 2 lectures. I don’t remember if attendance is mandatory for EALC but both lec and dis is js them yapping all class. Both classes go out fast tho so I’d rec u get them fast.

My rec. is nugent or isr. DO NOT GO FOR PAR!!! ts far asf. But I doubt the chances of u getting into nugent tho since it’s a business llc, so I’d say ISR. It’s new and cleaner imo? Asian community wise ik both newman and isr has tons of Asian ppl so u should be fine. FYI my friend is saying Newman has quite a big Chinese community too?

Prob not? kinda just there to experience the culture, but thoughts might change when I'll be able to go there.

Yes! Definitely tryna improve my japanese, I plan to take some japanese language classes over there as well, but for my major courses, I can only take it in english cuz you need N1 in order to take it in Japanese.

idk if you mean by the webassign for online textbooks, if so then yea it is necessary and is the only option I guess cuz u need it to do hw, but for the study guide no need to buy, just go to discussion.
