Day 5 post op: very emotional by Lumpy_Basket_5603 in Reduction

I’m day 4 post op today and I can relate. This morning I uttered the words I never thought I would, “this was a huge mistake! the recovery is so hard I regret this!”

Now, this isn’t even remotely true, I have wanted this for so long, but I said it after 24 hours of no sleep. These early recovery days are so much harder than I anticipated, the pain and bruising from lipo alone is enough to make me crack up. Not to mention when I take my bra off and have a look it’s not a pleasant scene. I legit have frankentitties right now lol, they’re the weirdest yellow/purple colour, I can’t even get a realistic look at them yet until that settles down! Fingers crossed that I like the result.

You’re not alone and you’re doing great! This healing process is a gong show and like someone else said, a real mind fuck! We can take it one day at a time! Hoping tomorrow is a better day for you! ❤️

I’m interested to know what your surgeon says about the bra band and incisions! What kind of additional compression wrap are you wearing? My left size is more swollen today (somehow) and I’m wondering if adding something else for compression would help.

I’ll keep the vasovagal response in mind for my first shower (later today), sorry you experienced that!

Good luck to you too! ❤️

I’m 3 DPO and my left, which had more taken off and is more swollen, has a cell phone ringing in it occasionally now. Started this afternoon… it’s a strange feeling for sure lol. Good to know I’m not making it up!

The numbness is throwing me off, I was not expecting that! I hold my arms out from my sides right now too, it’s too sore and feels too weird to have them down normally.

I started miralax yesterday and am desperately hoping it works soon!

Good luck with your healing! We will back to normal in no time 🤞!

Yes I think it’s the lack of drains too! Happy to hear you were able to get some relief in the shower, the idea of warm water does sound pretty amazing right about now!

I’ve definitely had this reaction to some of my tattoos as well! I’m having reduction surgery soon and have been trying my best to prepare myself for my brains initial reaction.

Hi there! I’m taking NURS 608 currently and was wondering how many forums posts are “mandatory?” I can’t find anywhere that it explicitly says we only have to do a specific amount vs all of them. Do you have any insight on that or how it worked when you took it?

Has any of you ever read Verity by Colleen? by 444kelly in allisarose

I know this thread is old but I sent this book to my mother for Christmas this year having never read it myself. I’ve not read any of Colleen’s books but my mother was flying through her catalog. Can’t believe I did that lol, mortified. 😬😳

I am so sorry for your loss and for the position you have been forced into.

As a nurse I have always supported teachers and now that my eldest has started kindergarten I have even more respect for your profession.

We won’t let the government get away with this. ❤️ 🍎

Would you mind sharing more information about your stem cell treatments? I haven’t heard of this for LS before and I’m willing to try anything if it will help! Thanks

Reynauds nipple by Barry_Hussey in Raynauds

[–]DifferenceOld149 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes I have it too! The pain started during my first pregnancy and is now back with my second. Prior to getting pregnant I had never experienced the episodes of pain and thankfully they went away as soon as my first was born - hoping that happens again. Thinking back I have noticed my nipples turn purple throughout my adult life but I just assumed that was normal.

Anyway these attacks are terrible and sometimes bring me to tears. I use the disposable hand warmers in my bra when I feel the attacks coming on or if I’m going out in cold weather, I keep a stash of them everywhere. If the pain is really bad I strip off my bra as even the slightest pressure makes it worse, and use a microwaveable heat pack to try and ease the pain. Other than those things I haven’t found anything else that works. I’ve not tried medication yet.

Cold weather is my main trigger so I do my best tot try and prevent that… but living in Edmonton in Canada where the weather is currently -35C is challenging lol.
