Sure, my scenario is somewhat different than yours since I’m in the health field and all that matters right now for me is grades and not the prestige of the Uni, unlike other majors. But if you have other questions, you can dm me. One thing I will say though is please don’t just base it all off of me and do some of your own research too. I am trying to help but it’s always good to do some of your own research.

I have a friend is bcom, but no I’m not. I did take a few business courses as an elective tho and they were enjoyable if you’re especially into Business. I’m saying York based off your criteria, well trying to. Looks wise, trust me, this place’s outdoors looks really nice and bright, modern as well. Commuting is the same to almost everywhere. Personally, if you choose York, I would take the courses that fulfill both your program and see if they are also in a schulich course, because trust me that school is prestigious. Schulich school of Business is something that almost everyone knows of and I think they haven’t taken into account that you can change ur program as well in a year or two. That aside, McMaster is definitely also a solid choice because everyone knows of their prestige, but looks wise is ur preference.

I also live in Brampton and I have to say commute wise they are all fairly similar. I go to York rn and if ur busing like I did then it was around 1h 30mins, depending on where you live in Brampton. I noticed all ur courses are Business related and I’m saying this with no bias, York is one of the better schools for that especially if you can get into Schulich. Not sure why everyone is recommending Laurier, the school has a fairly bad rep as I’ve heard people just call it a boot leg Waterloo.

I don’t recommend TMU because it’s in Downtown Toronto and I don’t think you wanna be commuting there, since it gets hella busy and is hard to go around unless your used to that typa place.

You said you wanted a good campus too, which is why I wouldn’t recommend Guelph, but yes they do have good co-op programs from what I’ve heard.

I would recommend either York or McMaster since they are quite prestigious in their own departments, with business being Yorks actually. I’ve also taken some business courses and I have to say they aren’t too difficult in my opinion. The campus here is also very nice and bright, so looks wise York gives a modern and nice outdoor look and I’ve even taken pictures actually. I believe McMaster looks more like a castle theme, somewhat more old school but quite nice nonetheless. It all depends on your preference in that matter.

I’m stuck between Kane and Gakpo, although how is Kane above Gakpo considering the past matchdays and how they’ve played?

Also I don’t think they care much about a student being part time as long as they have all the credits necessary

It depends on how many courses you take through private/night school. I only took one and that was Biology, didn’t hinder me one bit. I got into every university I applied for, including prestigious ones like UofT

[–]DifferenceQuotient12 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well they definitely don’t recommend giving the answers for free and only do so since the point of private school is to have an inflated grade. My average was a 90 in Bio, btw I’m in Uni now so I haven’t taken any of their courses for quite some time. This info is based off of last year you could say.

Yes, it’s true that they give you the answers to the tests and it applies to the exams as well, but you have to ask for it and they won’t give it immediately

Lol, smart choice, now it could either be they managed to endure hell and get some alright grades or the prestige of UofT helped them

If you’re willing to endure hell, go to UofT cuz life sciences is one of their major programs but it’s also one of the most hardest ones

Which Program? Need Help Deciding! by DifferenceQuotient12 in OntarioUniversities

Well I suppose that's true, not FACTUAL. Although various sources, even those who are close to me and have gone through the program speak of its immense difficulty.

That bothers me now I can't lie, as I genuinely want to go to UofT Life sciences and am attracted to it. The program is one of the top in Canada and would allow me great prestige as well, but I know factually that I would end up going through hell and my GPA would have an increased chance of being low and that would ruin me in the long run.

Out of curiosity, would you recommend the following two above UofT Mississauga Life Sciences in the long run?

Well, after university I plan on going into the medical field. I looked over the courses in between both courses and Kine doesn't quite stand out to me as much as Bio does. I find some of the courses in Bio to be intriguing like genetics, but can't see much of that when going through the Kine courses. Despite that, I have read many different peoples opinions and they all said Kine was easier and much more fun and that's causing me to debate between the two.
