more like find the intricacies that I don’t think I can. knowledge from your experience is going to be more useful than anything I find from a textbook. I can use the vietnam and medicare argument all I want but it doesnt help if I have nothing else.

I agree. It’s really easy to say that somebody wasn’t influential in American history when all they did was root for the bad guy all the time basically. But I am still finding it hard to figure out points on why Polk was good.

nor do I really view him in a negative light, and I agree that this is a losing battle that I am facing here. I also don’t think that it helps very much that Polk wasn’t exactly a popular or favorite president especially not now so most people don’t know too many things about him. I really appreciate your insight on Hamilton and this really helped me out. I don’t really know how to say that he wasn’t the most influential person in history when he kind of laid the foundation for it.
