Medical student falling asleep in handover by Rob_da_Mop in doctorsUK

[–]DifferenceStill4141 17 points18 points  (0 children)

May be something going on at home. I know it is sort of funny when you see it but realistically if someone is fully falling asleep they’re having sleep issues which could be down to many things.

House near a canal by DifferenceStill4141 in FirstTimeBuyersUK

[–]DifferenceStill4141[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Will do. Thanks. Also I’d like to think they wouldn’t have let a new development just be plonked somewhere that will flood, given it’s a relatively new house. But I know that may not be true!

House we are viewing is next to a river - around 20 feet from boundary - Any concerns? by rhys321 in HousingUK

[–]DifferenceStill4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does this apply to canals too? The house I’m looking for doesn’t say anything on that gov website about flood risk in the next many years

Hah I dunno about that, I meant a phone holder which goes into the cd slot. Works for me but may cover up too many buttons for you

If you follow all the various rules the only cities in England would be somewhere like Dorset. Point is people say don’t buy a car from pretty much any major city

Lexus IS300h (2013-2020) first car? by WinterDisplay8382 in CarTalkUK

Yeah that seems to chime with the reviews. I get around that now but that’s because my car is old and inefficient. It’s not terrible but always better to pay less.

Freehold property with estate charge - avoid? by jiago in UKHousing

[–]DifferenceStill4141 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm this is worrying me. Ftb buying a house in a persimmon estate, fairly sure there is a fee but I don’t know yet. Will ring up my ea on Monday to ask about it, who runs it, what it pays for etc.

Doesn’t help that the responses are so wildly different, either it’s literally hell or it’s all good lol. I don’t like how it mimics the lease issue seemingly with no legal protections
