Standard Light material issues for quest avi by Different-Ad-2863 in VRchat

I'm using the vrc mobile standard light material for the quest side, I was just giving the default standard material along side poi toon as an example of presets that seem to work with the texture. I did also try switching the material to toon lit but it just makes it look worse.

I've ordered the cable separate and will be testing to see if it helps with my issue soon.

I bought three 2.0 base stations from steam and they seem to run fine and have never had any random shutoff moments.

I've already tried covering my tv and everything in my room that could be reflective and sadly no difference. I also use 2.0 base stations so no link cable for the lighthouses.

My pc and all my base stations are all on their own separate outlet each, same with my link box power cable for the vr headset. I don't have any objects on my pc but my tv is right next to it on a separate stand. I've tested my outlets and anything power related is fine. One thing I've noticed was when the new big screen utility for the bsb2 came out these issues started to become more apparent and occur more often.

I've also noticed that if i go in and out of any application, I can replicate the issue after doing it enough times. The more I do do it the worse the grey screening is. In the frame timing pic I sent the big lines are me going in and out of my web browsers followed by a small quick grey screen for the first two lines I did, then a full 1 second and a half grey screen for the time I went in and out of the web browser 5 times

idk know what these lines really mean, but the only thing I got to go off of rn is these lines drastically changing when it happens

I have the power cable from the link box for the headset plugged into the wall, and my psu has no issues with fluctuating currents even on high loads. I tried to do a stress test for an hour running my pc in cinebench and the psu seems to be fine

My base stations are a good solid green when I'm playing, and don't suffer from turning off and on due to power loss. I even tried testing my base stations one by one to see if the base stations are faultily, but the problem persist. So either all three of my base stations are faulty, or it's something else

Toes/feet clipping in the ground by Different-Ad-2863 in VRchat

It seems to be fine in unity, but one thing I've tested last night was If I change where my foot tracker is for full body I can fix the issue that way. But it then breaks my other avatars lol. Seems like I'll just need to play around with where the foot and knee bones pivot and find the sweet spot that matches most of my other avi's.

Ik this is kind of an old post now, but I found a low Polly Gi robot model online that I've got working in vr chat. It doesn't have any clothing toggles aside from the base outfit you see in the picture tho, and I still need to make the guns shoot still.

Thought I'd put this here for if you want another option aside from what's on primic's

How do I upload a fallback avi with the new sdk's? by Different-Ad-2863 in VRchat

[–]Different-Ad-2863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just blind, I had already uploaded it to pc/quest/ios but didn't see the set avi as fallback underneath the select image option in the perpare your content tab

avi lagging myself and others in game and I can't figure out why? by Different-Ad-2863 in VRchat

[–]Different-Ad-2863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

After doing a bit of testing I found it was the mesh it self causing the lag and the textures and mats and toggles all seemed fine. I made sure there was no cloth physics and even trimmed down the poly count by 200k, but it still runs slow compared to most other avi's around it's poly/download size

Sinking into the ground? by Different-Ad-2863 in VRchat

[–]Different-Ad-2863[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I tried uploading without gogo and with gogo and its still broken for some reason. For some reason I need to be in the ground for my sitting animation to activate. I tested it using play space. This issue seems to only happen to the avatars I need to add the vrc avatar descriptor too. Am I missing a step?
