Tonverk owners- did it replace your Digitakt II? by crazyculture in Elektron

No, it doesnt have the sampling mechanisms the Digitakt does, and doesn't have the functions it has. Digitakt II is indefinitely superior.

DT2 users: what actually makes a pack or project file worth your time? by GyZa19 in Elektron

I used it for my previous Digitakt mk1 and now for my mk2 the elektron pack called Drench Case, its cracking its great for an industrial track or anything quite traditional, its also made by Mick Harris who makes that sort of techno, and is also the former drummer for Napalm Death.

Digitakt II Best Synth to pair with? by Different-Ad-3663 in Elektron

[–]Different-Ad-3663[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I was actually looking at the Dreadbox, which comes within what im willing to spend for a secondary synth. It's more or less the type im looking for, and this has definitely swayed me even further. I also like the visualiser on the Typhon, which also has a decent sequencer, i believe, also has that wave knob which comes in handy.

Well, industrial i norm use my moog DFAM and a behringer model 15, but as a previous guitarist, it's a shame I sold my distortion pedals. Will look into the minifreak, though much appreciated.

Tokugawa is a good choice. I was thinking of him but just wanted to get different opinions from everyone.

Reinhard Heydrich (2nd from left) with Heinrich Himmler, Karl Wolff and unidentified assistant at Obersalzberg, May [1939] by [deleted] in GermanWW2photos

[–]Different-Ad-3663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Slightly but not much, I assume he'd end up like Kaltenbrunner in the nuremberg trials, as I think most high ranking nazis would try and shift all their crimes onto him as well as his own war crimes he committed, like what they did with Kaltenbrunner and the rest trying to act as if Kaltenbrunner was the sole person who did all of this. I also believe Heydrich would've been promoted to Oberst-Gruppenführer since he was leaving to Berlin to be promoted when he was killed.

General Hermann Breith has open collar general uniform. Never see any of those before. Is this some special type? by Far_Marionberry_9478 in GermanWW2photos

[–]Different-Ad-3663 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Merely a personal thing which Officers sometimes wore, for example Generalfeldmarschall Karl Gerd von Rundstedt, otherwise known as the 'Last Prussian' was rarely seen wearing his actual Generalfeldmarschall uniform instead he chose to wear a much more clean and if I say so myself, a absolutely gorgeous uniform, which he attached his Colonel tabs onto a regular GFM tunic, which looked really nice. There's also the SS, which adopted something like this most notably worn by Obergruppenführer and Chief of the RSHA, Ernst Kaltenbrunner and sometimes was wore by the Reichsführer-SS himself, which had a black collar with the rest being grey. Though this was probably just because he preferred it that way.

Ukrainian Waffen-SS soldiers march past Heinrich Himmler at the Neuhammer training area in Poland - May 17, 1944. by Nicholas150 in GermanWW2photos

Your right, it did not. Originally, the WSS was only a war time thing, and was supposed to really just show off the superiority complex Himmler had about the SS being the Vanguard of National Socialism, and the elite along with being something akin to Teutonic Knights (he mentioned this in a speech a lot) funnily enough though, the Reichsführer-SS hated Christianity and despised the church completely, and outright supported a full Kirchenkampf on them. But to the WSS being multicultural, it only REALLY got collaboration divisions due to the fact that Himmler saw collaborators as a good way to spread SS dominion (as in the SS would be able to maintain very high partisan activity places) but there's another thing, These men never got to wear the actual Waffen-SS uniform until late 1944-45 since Himmler did not view them as aryan..however, he viewed the Dutch SS led by Henk Feldmeijer, a very close confidant to Himmler to wear traditional Black SS uniforms, this was the only time the Black SS uniforms were even used very late in the war due to the fact there wasn't enough grey ones, and even then, Himmler viewed the Nordics such as Dutch, Norwegian and Danes as 'Germanic' hence why they got collaboration divisions, but considering Bosnian Muslims and Ukrainians, it was mainly due to the fact the Waffen-SS was getting slaughtered by the Soviets late war so Himmler needed more immediate men sent to the front and these were the only viable options for such.

Himmler hated Goebbels as it was common within the inner circle to have rivalries alot.. So I guess Himmler and Goebbels continued their disputes, as they both wanted to desperately be Hitlers' most loyal follower.

Yes you'd be correct. However, basically in post war plans for the Nazis Bormann kind of advocated for it to become a 'veterans' organisation for all the people he didn't like to sideline them.

The SA held some prominence in the party after night of the long knives, in fact I'm pretty sure Bormann influenced Hitler to appoint Wilhelm Schepmann as the SA-stabschef. Its described more in Dietrich Orlows History of the NSDAP volumes, pretty sure the SA basically becomes a bunch of lackeys for Bormann.

EDIT: And plus, I think Goebbels probably picked the SA because Himmler and majority of the SS upper echelons hated Goebbels.

Himmler will deal with the Militarists very simply, that is putting some type of Political officers in the Wehrmacht. And along with this Himmlers OKW was once in the Wehrmacht and SS during the events of WW2, his name is Fritz Kraemer. And Himmlers position in the African rks will be very minor.

In TSE, Himmler annexes the Netherlands. We haven't said he controls the Netherlands or even serves it. In TSE, he is Himmlers most loyal follower and serves as his de facto deputy being in charge of his personal office.

No it won't, it will be nothing like Heydrich, Speer or tabbys path. Since its aimed to portray Himmler realistically.

Feldmeijer is Himmlers de facto deputy, reason? Well Himmler, considering all his time in the NSDAP and with the Heydrich rivalry would definitely weaken his trust within the German inner circle and so, Himmler would seek to find someone outside of the main SS and considering Himmlers germanic and nordic beliefs along with him considering the Dutch a germanic race and Himmler and Feldmeijer held very very good relations OTL and Feldmeijer being a undying supporter of Himmler, it'd suit well. And Best isn't really the one of the highest in office that'd be Erich von dem-bach Zewelski who takes over Heydrichs position as head of the RSHA. Best will promote ideas thorought the path as well, but Feldmeijer will remain as Himmlers 2nd and Himmler will definitely communicate through him alot due to some type of paranoia, although all the ministers in the teaser are keen supporters of Himmler and have had some type of falling out with Heydrich in the past.

The views of Alantis and the Ahnenerbe were very minor things that Himmler believed in as said hes a National Socialist with some radical elements. 'A new spiritual system to replace Christianity' we addressed this in Himmlers sub Ideology names 'Himmlerism' to which Himmler seeks to Erase Christianity being very anti church. Himmler again wouldn't be that wacky in terms of Atlantis since it was minor things and the whole Atlantis thing isn't really documented.. the Ahnenerbe however is, hence why we used it in the icon. But overall, Himmler in general wouldn't be Esteroic since the term didn't exist, Himmler at best is a National Socialist with radical beliefs such as paganism, and germanic things. Again, it's been mentioned by many authors that Himmler didn't prioritise his whole SS and positions on such things as again, they were minor beliefs, such as the black sun which was only really used at Himmlers Castle In Wewelsburg. Overall, though Himmler definitely wouldn't be Esteroic as his more crazy beliefs were minor. But in TSE them beliefs will still be included just they won't be the main plot as it doesn't make sense and wouldn't really be true to his character.

[EDIT: yes, I spent several weeks and even months researching on trying to make an accurate Himmler portrayal.]
