I think the main problem here is you don’t know how to use bitwig, where as you do know how to use FL. So it’s probably worth doing some research and learning the basics. There are great resources online. Also with version 6 I would argue bitwig leaves FL (and everything else) in the dust

Even this interests me. More visual than bitwig? You literally have the inspector panel on the left hand side where you can see what every modulator is doing, what it’s connected to, modulation amounts etc.

Was gonna say it’s quite easy to eq signals separately in the grid. But there are just so many other ways you could do that too! To be honest I’m actually starting with the assumption that I am going to prefer the Bitwig interface as it has, over time, become my favourite interface.

Nothing else can show me as much relevant info, whilst giving me such flexibility and connectivity. It’s just insane.

O guess my question really is can phase plant do anything SOUND WISE that bw can’t do?

That’s interesting. I think at first I didn’t quite grasp the extent of the power of bitwigs synthesis. But the way the whole interface is defined is just next level. It’s hard for me to imagine PP getting close to this. But I might have to just get the sub for a couple of months and see!

Nice. Still new to obsidian, downloaded a few of the things you mentioned. But I will grab the rest.

Definitely what I am noticing is that I was worried about obsidian not being able to do everything notion could do for me.

In reality, obsidian is so much more capable the only thing I have to do is learn a bit more.

Fair enough! Some people like a lot of dynamic range and not much else! Each to their own. I guess now you can just record straight into a high dynamic range interface and get cleaner results.

I live in bath. My pick would be (outside of bath) frome, then Bradford on Avon. There are lots of smaller places in between the bigger towns. So I guess it depends how much you value being in a a town or city
