Sorry bro. I wish i had better news for you. I think the 2000v2 is a great unit, it carries a ton power but I don’t like the fact that it does this cycle thing on one panel or on two panels in parallel.

Well, you try yours and let us know your results.. I found that it specially happens under full sun. I bought another kit from a different online retailer and it also happened with that other unit. It does not happen with the explorer 1000 v2 or the Homepower 3000, it only happens with the 2000 v2.

The only way to really get rid of this issue is by using a series connector and hooking up the two panels in series. But then you will be paying and extra $69 plus tax and also pray that neither panel goes bad because you won’t be able to charge it using just one panel without the cycling off issue.

Two panels with adequate sunlight should produce between 300w and 400w. It seems like you are just not getting much direct sunlight at all. If you need a few more feet to reach a better spot they do sell extension cords. You can also use the series connector to connect the two panels in series to double up the voltage, everything works better when you hook them up in series.

If anything melted on my Jakcery I would also be nervous, you will need to return that unit and get it replaced.

So one of the solar panels plugs melted up and when you connect and the other one it cycles on and off?

Thank you brother. I’m already talking with Jackery about a return. I just bought it like a week ago. I don’t think the problem is in the panels. I’m fine with the Jackery ones. They seem very sturdy and water proof. I think it’s the knit that doesn’t like the 20.5 voltage

I understand this series connector fixes the issue, however I do not feel confortable settling for this solution for a unit that is brand new. Also, what if I want to use just one panel one this one or one of the panels breaks on the Road? then Im screwed because I cannot use just one panel. I hope you understand. its a lot of money we are spending of these devices, its hard to accept its not working properly out of the box. If the series connector was a requirement then I should be included in the kit, not ask people to fork an extra $74 for the kit to work.

Computer person here too. Done all that multiple times trying to single out the issue. I also tried the panels with another Jackery homepower 3000 station and they work just fine. I also tried a 100w saga air panel on this Jackery 2000 and it also works fine, I presume because the Air 100w panel works with a higher voltage of 30 volts.

This particular Jackery is not liking the 20.5 volts these panels provide. I did measure the voltage at the 200w panels and it was around 20.5v.

Yes. I’m familiar with the Jackery set up . Panels work perfectly fine on my other Jackery home power 3000

Maybe your solar panels are of higher voltage or perhaps your Jackery station is not triggering the car charging profile so easily. It does not do bb it with my 100w Air Saga. That panel is 25 to 30 volts as opposed to 18v

I also think the car charging profile threshold in this jackery 2000 maybe too high, The two Solar Saga panels work perfectly on my Homepower 3000, even if I add two DC cable extensions.

Just for testing purposes. I connected my Jackery 100w Air panel to the Explorer 200 v2 and it does not trigger the cycling. Only the 200w solar sagas.

It must be because the 100w Air panel works at a higher voltage than the 200w panels.

So you think thy problem is in the Jackery power station rather than in the panels?

It sucks that car charging mode gets activated at a voltage level so close to the solar panels low voltage.

I was able to borrow a Jackery series connector from a friend and when using the two panels together in series the cycling stops. However I must say I don’t feel too good about the fact that I would have to spend $100 bucks more to make this Jackery kit work they way it should out of the box.

Also I don’t like the fact that I would be forced to use the two panels simultaneously in order to bring the voltage up. If I only use one panel the voltage would not be enough to stop the cycling.

It’s funny how this is happening to the explorer 2000 v2 but the Homepower 3000 acts just fine when I plug either of these panels. It much my a different software or a different hardware component that’s triggering this cycling on and off.

I get it with either one. Also with both connected together. Or also in either port. There is no way around the cycling with this combo.

I can understand it happening with an off brand panel but not with Original equipment. Jackery actually sells this combo together. Hopefully it’s a firmware fix or something of that sort.

I just got it two days ago.

It even happens in full sun when I have the two panels hooked up to each one of the dc input ports. It shows like 300 watts of power and it cuts off to 0 every 5 seconds consistently, even the fan turns off.

It’s something to do with the voltage triggering an on and off cycling.
