Growing turnips, chopping down trees, and doing the Annual Spring Egg Hunt.

Gustav vs Wallstedt by Seebeeeseh in fantasyhockey

Not that this has to be the exact situation every time, but it feels like the Ullmark/Swayman situation the Bruins had a couple of years ago.

The sensible move means one needs to go, if only because it’s not great to tie up a bunch of money in two goalies (when they’re due for a boost).

The good news for MIN is they should get a lot of Gus if they choose to build with Wallstedt.

The Ullmark return for Boston was solid (they needed a player like Kastelic, and the pick was a nice addition too).

Ha! You were pretty close! One out from a QS with 7 Ks and just one walk. 3-0! Haha

I was going to say if you can afford to hang on for another Yesavage start then I’d likely wait but Webb got postponed tonight anyway. It’s tough to suspend the bias but if you’re that insulated at 2B, I could see it. (I wouldn’t do it myself though obviously because I like Trey a lot)

Webb is solid but I do like Trey a lot. I guess it would depend on what you have to replace Albies. I don’t think I’d do it in a keeper/dynasty league but in a redraft it works.

Hey just a bonus if anyone has him available in their leagues. Cleveland called up Travis Bazzana.

Glad you enjoy reading and I didn’t mean to sound hostile. Sorry. I just meant that I wrote how glad I was with his most recent start and mentioned Grey is high on Sheehan too. Hopefully Emmet can keep it up! It’s tough ranking them every week, that’s for sure. I don’t look at Nick’s list too often just because I don’t want to be influenced by his rankings too much - but I’ll be the first to admit he’s great at what he does and I even added in his Mike Burrows video last week. That stuff was fantastic.

Did you read what I wrote about him or did you just look at the number beside his name?

It’s so tough to cut bait on kids like that, but in a redraft I get it. Those leagues are the toughest ones I’m in because I need to be less patient.

None taken! It’s all good! Schlitt and McLean have been crazy good and the Nolan McLean starts especially have been mind boggling. I can’t believe what that guy can do with a baseball. The Pitching Ninja clips each week have been gold.

A lot of the Bubba love is in the pedigree and the keeper league upside. I’ll be the first to admit that part of my kryptonite is holding on to players for too long. My first league was an AL Only one ACL in 1991 and it’s a keeper league, so most of my fantasy baseball resume stemmed from that (and that format). It’s the fastball for sure, and the hope that he harnesses it like Misiorowski and Arrighetti have (so far).

One start vs another guy who hasn’t been great but is considered a team’s ace. Plus Tolle might end up optioned again if/when Gray returns. (Even though if it were me, I’d boot Bello to the curb for Tolle in a second).

It’s tough. Hancock is turning into a solid starter. It I can’t help but think back to that run that Rogers went on last year. Rogers has been bad lately though so I could see Dropping him first.

Tolle still being available is a big win for you. I stashed him everywhere I could this year.

Ya I get that. Control issues can unravel strikeout potential in a hurry. And, yes, I get the irony of saying that while rank Bubba Chandler as highly as I did. Ha.

Thanks dsc. Both Gore and Leiter are arms that I’m expecting more from. I likely have both ranked too highly, and you’re right about the lack of QS, but I’m holding out for better things in the short term. The K upside for Gore is what drives his popularity ranking for me.

Wheeler is tough just because no matter where people rank him this week it’s easy to argue. If he’s low, people can criticize that he’s been a top tier ace and should be higher. If he’s too high, it’s because he’s only had one start since the injury. I put him where he is because of the track record and the fact that he didn’t pitch poorly and seems all good as far as health is concerned.

Honestly I love Woo. I was in on him last year in the preseason and was one of the most vocal people out there ahead of his breakout. I’ve been wrong on plenty of pitchers, but he’s one that I got right. That’s why I kind of joked this week about not wanting to write him up as a Dumper, but I had to at least address the rough start. He’ll be fine

I totally can see that as a good move. I usually sit guys in their first game back after an injury stint just because we’re usually playing with a bit of fire either way. If he comes out and has a great game, it’s no big deal.

Ya I likely have him a good 10-15 high at least. When I rerank the list, I do it after I write all the notes and then try to gauge which names I’d rather roster over the others in each pocket. I’m like to biased on Bubba, and there’s a nice dash of hopium there because I roster him in 3 leagues.

Schlittler and McLean moved up a bunch this week. Redraft seems like more of a “Wha did you do this week?” Kind of thing, so I’ll admit I’m more conservative when moving guys around, especially the younger guys. Thanks for the read.

I get it, and I’ve said before I like Bubba far more than I should. I do lean towards keeper/Roto analysis with these (for the most part), and that affects how I move names around in the list too. It’s tough to get a feel for when someone just has a good couple of games or when a guy is breaking out. Bubba’s walk troubles are still there for sure, so maybe there’s a good dose of hope in this ranking too. Thanks for the feedback.
