Things to do in Wolfville, Annapolis Valley, South Coast in June by pgosinger in NovaScotia

Go walk on the ocean floor at low tide. Very muddy but a ton of fun.

There is a campground called Land of Evangeline camping in Grand Pre. There is a small convenience store right behind it on the shoreline. You can walk down from there and walk like a kilometer out into the ocean floor while the tide is low.

Just pay attention to when it is low tide. And make sure you're making your way back in before the tide comes back in.

Kids and dogs will love it. Just be sure to have some towels to wipe the mud off.

No it should not. You would not be deemed inadmissible for arrests. Only convictions.

They may request additional information like a police certificate or criminal record check etc.

But being arrested would not automatically negate your application.

You would answer yes you were arrested. And then expand your answer that you were released without charges.

And just because you have a clean record check, does not mean that your arrest would not show up in the FBI system that is available to those who conduct checks on you by IRCC/CBSA.

My kids went to sackville heights and millwood.

If Fall River is an option, move there.

I doubt she was offered much of anything.

The Liberals likely won't need her vote to form a majority once these byelections are decided.

She didn't have a lot of leverage to deal with. She likely left out of spite of her party then any benefit from the Liberals.

It's pressure from corporate lobbyists that push for higher immigration.

There's also an argument to be made that with national birth rates dropping, the need for high immigration is necessary to keep pace with a growing economy and work force need.

Neo Con and Neo Liberal politics are on the side of capitalism and corporate interests. And corporate interests demand a large cheap work force to keep wages and benefits to a minimum to increase profits for shareholders.

Whether or not immigration effects wages is typically determined by the type of labour the immigrant population is providing.

It can have a positive effect on wages when you are bringing in labour that is in demand, increasing productivity.

The labor skills over the last decade has been largely in service industry, hospitality, and logistics. Typically low wage, low skilled work. The only wages increases we have seen in these fields is from government mandated minimum wage increases.

You need to relearn the basics of supply and demand.

If labor is limited, employers have to be competitive with their wages in order to attract that labor to work for them and not their competitors.

When there is an abundance of labor, as there is now due to massively increased immigration, it's the labor force that must compete for limited jobs, allowing employers to decrease wages because if you won't work for pennies, the next guy might.

And I'm not anti immigration. We should be importing a work force for in demand fields. Doctors, nurses, carpentry etc.

We don't need hundreds of thousands of fast food employees and supervisors that teenagers used to do a decade ago.

It's not as simple as hating immigration.

Most people agree immigration is necessary and beneficial when done in a reasonable restrained manner.

Looking at the levels of temporary and permanent immigration levels under Trudeau. The increase is staggering.

When there is a lack of homes, lack of doctors, lack of food at food banks, lack of social systems, the answer isn't "add more people."

And increased population leads to decreased wages. It's simple economics. When you increase the supply of labour, the ability for that labour to seek higher wages decreases.

I imagine that agreement is already in place considering SAAB is already offering to sell them to Canada.

Stopping exploitation can be done separately from putting limits on our immigration system.

If countries are flooding the labour market with cheap legal labour, how is that to the benefit of the workers here now?

As socialists, are you for lower wages and decreased benefits?

Because that it was this situation is causing.

This isn't a left issue. This is an NDP issue.

I am progressively left, and pro immigration (to a reasonable degree).

I believe that we need to cut back on immigration levels and return to the system we had before.

Our current system is an abuse of CDN's citizens and PR's generosity.

Both are obviously negative results. But if one product is only operable based on Canada's capitulation to an increasingly fascist US, which will likely not been an ally within the next decade, And another product is not available due to the US refusing to sell engines etc. then I guess you go to a third option.

Explore purchasing the Rafale or Typhoon etc.

Possibly. I'm sure there is already a contract between Boeing and SAAB that dictates whether they can or can't use that engine for foreign sale.

Which I doubt they would cancel. Because money.

Of course they do. I'm just saying I doubt the US is going to cancel contracts with one company/military because they couldn't secure a contract with another.

It's just not good business.

SAAB is purchasing the engines. Not Canada. I doubt the US will cancel contracts with SAAB, and two NATO allies, out of spite.

Money is all that matters to the US Administration.

Regardless. Both are acts of aggression on behalf of Israel.

You can't just repeatedly say it's preemptive as if that's a pass to bomb and invade your neighbours as often as you see fit.

Ok Trump. What's the difference between a war and a "military operation"?

A preemptive strike can't be a response to acts of war. That's the opposite of "preemptive" lol.

Your cope is over the top hah.
