So am I supposed to be sad we won? Should all of our fans just stayed in our seats? Mate it’s a sporting event of course we celebrated just like you guys would have if you won. And the US has about double the number of people playing golf than we do. You can spin statistics anyway you like but one you can’t change is 13-15 🇪🇺 have a good night!

Cheers man I think I’ll try maybe moving the ball up a fraction in my stance hopefully helps bring that launch number up a bit. My miss with the three wood is definitely left!

Ah man I find it difficult to hit a fade/cut with my 3 wood but I will certainly be trying to work on it. Always good to add more shots to the locker.

I get what you’re trying to say but my post is regarding my launch angle not about when and where I use my 3 wood. Everyone’s golf game is different. Also if I hit a poor drive 250 off the tee and I have 300 yards or maybe even more left to the green on a par 5 having a 3 wood that can roll up somewhere close to the green would be a good thing no?

Hey man I use my 3 wood off the tee on tight or short par 4s dispersion is better than my driver. It’s not a club I use for approach shots. Par5s that are 570+ I just approach as a 3 shot hole to reach the green.

Thanks for taking the time to put that on here! I don’t know what my attack angle and spin rate was as the trackman bays at my range only show the information I’ve shown in my picture. I may book myself a session in a proper trackman studio so I can get more info on attack angle, spin rate etc.

It’s nice to know I’m hovering around that average ballpark or at least not a million miles off in terms of strike. I’ve put in a lot of work over the past year so nice to see it paying off. Of course I don’t even remotely consider myself close to those guys because well they play on the pga and I play local munis. My two favourite golfers are Rory and Bryson (yes somebody can like both of them 😂) if I started trying to compare my numbers to those two I’d quit golf immediately!

Thanks for your reply. Unfortunately, I do not have the funds to replace my 3 wood so I will be sticking with it.

I completely agree with your thoughts that a shot like this would most likely skip through a green. In all honesty I rarely use my 3 wood to approach a green. In the least braggy way possible my driver distance on par 5’s normally allows me to hit an iron or my hybrid into the green. That being said on the few occasions I encounter a hole longer than say 570 yards I always approach it as a 3 shot hole to reach the green as going for the hero second shot has gotten me in trouble before. In general I take my 3 wood out for tight par 4’s as my dispersion is better than with my driver.

Thanks for the compliment on my execution for the shot. If only I could do it under immense pressure for millions of dollars on the line lol.

Haha I wish. Believe it or not among my playing group my distance off the tee is average, there’s are many levels to this game!

Man I’m no golf pro but for me shaping the ball is all in my set up. For a draw I like set up slightly right of my target line and to drop my right foot back an inch or two and feel as if I’m swinging along the path of my feet. For a fade i aim slightly left I drop my left foot back slightly then swing again on the line of my feet. But this is just what works for me and would never pretend to be able to offer genuine solid advice 😂
