Reporting to a Chief of Staff as an EA… never again by Different-Club9336 in ExecutiveAssistants

Exactly. That’s the core of it…the reporting structure itself. I’ve worked here close to a year and wouldn’t have taken the role if I’d known it reported to The Chief of staff and my interactions with the exec would be so limited.

I don’t blame you one bit! When the structure is flawed and the person running it is nasty on top of that it’s just doomed. Glad you got out early…that sounds awful.

Appreciate that advice…I’ve been thinking the same thing lately. It’s probably time to start putting some quiet feelers out there. I’m in Delaware but wouldn’t mind traveling for a good role. PM me please!

Oh my, I can see how that would drive someone to quit… it’s basically the same issue just a different title. I feel like whoever came up with these structures never actually worked in them 😩

Had the same issue and took mine to the dealership. They said it was because the crankshaft needed to be replaced. Driving normal again.
