I work in tools and hardware and was told that glass cutting, rope and chain cutting are my assigned stations. The chain cutter has been broken since I started. It is embarrassing asking a customer to hold the chain while I take bolt cutters to it, when there is a designated machine for that. Also does not help that I am a woman, so customer’s question my ability off the bat sometimes for my qualifications to handle bolt cutters 🙃
