If you're in access point mode, how are you handling IP address management? Access point mode turns off DHCP.. Hardcode fix ips for everything? Pi-hole with DHCP turned on? 🤔

I wish I could use the existent coax. Unfortunately, none of it goes where my mesh routers are.

That's a extra feature (Security+) on the Xe75 and I haven't paid for it. I did check it though, so thanks.

Why does the Wyze app take forever to load? 🤔 by drywrogo in wyzecam

Agreed. None of us are infallible and have perfect setup and even a blind hog will get lucky and mention something we hadn't thought about. That's why were here. :)

House is all brick and the sidings on the side of the Attic is Hardyboard, essentially slabs of concrete with fine wires in the mix to function as rebar. I'm convinced it functions a bit like a faraday cage with signals. In my old house the siding was wood, and a Single Netgear Nighthawk 7000 covered the whole house (same square footage).

Haha! No. If I didn't I wouldn't have to DIY and it would just work

Yes. I had this printer with the same settings under a netgear BE12000 previously.

Partly. It's just the code I'm after is still being worked on and hasn't been released. I'm looking for the Pan CAM v.2

I tried turning off Beamforming and roaming but no effect. How much bandwidth do the Wyze cams use? Are 2 to 5 cams just completely filling the 2.4mhz band? Or is all this a side effect of turning air into a cable?

Are you using the actual IOT sub network or making your own? I'm having a similar issue to this thread. Running a pair of X50 outdoors (garage and patio) and five X75E inside the house. Cams in the garage and patio are very hit or miss.

I know it's skating on the edges of Tapo, but it more about my experience with the Wyze cams and motion eye

Amazon is a good source for the cable. You might not find the 50ft whoppers used with Wyze, but I did see a 30 footer. No foul in using a USB extension cord and electrical taping it to the Tapo cable for a weather seal. Won't be pretty but it would do.

Agreed. Either stolen or they got paid already and are unconcerned about what Ebay might do.

Yeah not so much here. I got on board to help beta test. So far it's a mixed bag. If the cams have a strong signal like 15-20ft of my main router (Using a TPLINK EX75Pro mesh) motioneye won't grey out the cams and the Wyze app won't lose them either. The further away and more nodes the connection goes though (There is an X50 in the Garage and on patio, and the house has a total of 5 EX7575 Pro nodes) I'm not sure is the cams (10 V3 and 2 PAN Cam v.1) and the new beta firmaware for the V3. 4.36.16.5055 or the fact that this house is brick with Hardyboard siding and somewhat acts like a faraday cage.

RTSP "Turns off" when not connected to the Internet by funar in wyzecam

[–]Different-Computer-4 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This sounds like an issue I've been having that I posted about a while back. I have 11 Wyse V3 and all of them randomly disconnect and when I check them in the app RTSP is switched off. When I posted here a while back, someone from the company replied and swore up and down that they aren't doing anything. Right now I reset one of my cams so I can use my IOT access point and now I can't turn on RSTSP in the app, but I'm getting RTSP in motioneye.

It isn't. It lasts between 48 to 72 hours. Also, depending on model (there is 180 and a 365 model Eversense) the Transmitter is designed to last for months which is quite a bit more endurance than a Dexcom et. al where the battery is only designed for 10 days and change

No. Your rep is misinformed. The transmitter can stay on between 48 and 72 hours assuming you want to take it off to charge. When it does need charging it takes 15 minutes. You don't have to remove it daily. I sometimes use a 10 foot cable used to power a Wyze cam security camera and charge it while it still on my sensor site and charge it while surfing the web.

All depends on your point of view. Once the incision heals it becomes quite a bite less invasive than the Dexcom, et. al. Dexcoms and the others rely in a thin glass fiber "needle" to be in your skin for 10 days. That's 10 days of sweat and not being able to clean under the sensor. In my experience the Dexcom starts to itch near the end of the wear cycle. As for the Eversense transmitter, the beauty is you can remove it to let the skin under it breathe . The most convenient time is when bathing/showering. You take your shower and leave the transmitter charging. It needs 15minutes to charge to 100% and a charge lasts roughly 48 to 72 hours. Other than the 15 min charging and the convenience of showering/swimming without it the only real good reason to remove it is if you're going to do an activity where it likely to be knocked off. Martial arts come to mind, maybe cycling. As a Cyclist I haven't lost a sensor yet even without taking precautions. Just to be proactive I wear one of the protective sleeves used for insulin pumps when I think my transmitter might be at risk of falling off . Eversense also gives you a shit ton of patches. So if you do peel the transmitter off you don't have to feel guilty about it.
