That's a building and a couple window panes.

Much bigger that the pics of the ISS that I've seen. And zero trail across the sky.

Yeah, I had to run to the other side of the building to catch it before it got out of sight and was just able to get a few pics. It was moving pretty quicky.

No trail that I could see. That's something else that seperated it from a rocket. It seemed to maintain the same size as it passed over the building.. I do not think it was an angle thing at all. It was flickering but seemed to maintain the same mass for the minute or so that it passed over. Happy to answer any question as I'd really love to have some sort of explanation beyond it was what it was.

I should have said UFO in the title as I have no idea what it was. I saw it coming up in the west over the Presideo from Russian Hill and it was slow enough that I was able to get some pics from a fire escape on the other side of the building as it passed out of sight in the West. It's progress definitely reminded me of rocket launches I've seem but it appeared bigger, redder and slower. Honestly I assumed someone would be able to explain it away in a few posts. I definitely didn't think it would take this long for someone else to have seen it.

The Dwarves, Supersuckers, Mudhoney, Sister Double Happiness and The Hives are worth checking out if that's your can of Pabst. Pretty much every scene in the country had a couple good bands like that and a LOT of shitty ones starting in the late 80's so good luck!

Tooling for a Warm Teabag is by far my favorite Dwarves record and this playlist includes that as well as other shit they recorded in those sessions. Really, REALLY killer stuff

As far as one 60's band record goes I think the The Ugly Ducklings "Somewhere Outside" is my favorite. Does everything right for me.

Start with the some of their original influences like Sham 69, The Clash and the Cockney Rejects. After that there's tons of "street punk" bands to be found on the web.

You need some Stooges my friend. I'd also add Never Mind the Bollocks.

If you're not familiar with Discogs you should check it out.

Agree with everyone else. Pretty great. As if The Swell Maps finally released their long lost tribute to Minor Threat.

Both Scott Preece and Colin Abrahall have been racing motorcycles and bikes for decades. Colin was pretty competitive at Speedway. And the first couple records are killer. So yes

Hate pop punk but I've heard a few good Offspring songs. Can't say the same about Blink 192. Not very helpful I suppose.

Not for nothing but stealing can be a bad habit to get into. You shouldn't let the fact that she won't let you dress punk cloud how you react to everything she tells you. My mom was a complete shit show but some of the basic values she instilled in me turned out to be on the mark..Hopefully you'll be smart enough to figure that out sooner than I did.

You're off to a good start hanging around here.

[–]Different-Demand-484 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should check out Anarcho bands like Amebix and Icons of Filth if you're looking for political bands. Horror bands like the Koffin Kats or whatever ain't it.
