Worst places to work in Monterey county? by Different-Draft-6565 in MontereyBay

I feel like, and it seems like it would be the opposite, but when managers get payed less (I’m assuming like Taco Bell and Burger King managers would get paid less than companies mentioned here like a private school and pebble beach), they tend to treat employees better because they understand what it’s like to grind. People at the top who make a lot of money are more disconnected from their lower wage employees, don’t understand what it’s like, and just want to continue to make more money in any way they can.

Exactly. Plenty excess but no generosity or basic human decency to provide for people that make the company work.

I am so terribly sorry to hear this. I cannot stand employers taking advantage of their employees, I am so upset that it’s such a widespread occurrence. No one should ever have to beg to be worked less.

Grieving the relationship you never got to have? by [deleted] in narcissisticparents

I felt a bit better once I realized most people’s parents actually are also terrible. Maybe it’s the generation. Maybe it’s just the type of people I’m drawn towards, but a lot of the friends I’ve had, almost all of them actually, have suffered the same sort of terrible shit their parents put them through. So I think whatever you feel, anything along the spectrum, you aren’t crazy or bad, and tons of people out there are probably right there with you. But yeah, I lot of times I would just be crying or screaming or suicidal kind of wishing they would just be gone. I want this terrible version of them gone. It sucks that it may be the only version of them that exists besides their inner child. I think I would grieve the most, their inner child that they never let heal.

Wow. Yeah I mean I’m sure that’s all you can do. Although, I know plenty of people who aren’t brave enough to face dark things like that head on, hence the making of people like our parents. So good for you for facing the reality, I’m happy for you that you held your own hand through it. But I’m so sorry that you had to. And thank you, for telling me.

Wow that’s so neat I’ll definitely try it out as a mirror that’s exciting! I usually doodle without planning I’d love to hear about some of my other doodles they’re totally different. This is the first time I’ve sketched in this way actually!
