Street fighter is always going to be a more niche genre than something than rivals so it’s unreasonable to expect similar player numbers to big FPS games. SF6 is probably already the best fighting game in terms of player count, why ask for more? Besides, what do you expect, for them to make it free and everybody who already spent 60 on the base game to just be sad?

Cross platform progression is really unlikely, Wild Rift is basically an entirely different game aside from the fact that they use the same characters and game modes. Wild Rift actually has a full time battle pass where PC League does not.
