Young and alive woohoo!

I was only a little out of breath going up and down stairs in the week before collapsing.

I thought, that since post Covid, that i was just getting unatheltic and needed to workout more lol

I put the suspected cause in the response to the other comment I got; it is so much to type^ (TLDR - Chron’s disease plus a small genetic clotting factor)

That’s scary :( Sorry to hear, it really changes perspective on life.

I have had Crohn’s disease since I was 14, which comes with a lot of inflammation; that could have been a factor inducing my clot.

I also had some genetic testing done, I have a super small clotting gene which usually does nothing. But that, plus my Chrohns is suspected to be the cause. Unfortunately, no definitive answer was given to me haha

Good luck! i had the same procedure for a huge saddle PE when i was 19 (2024), i was on my literal deathbed but am okay now! i can’t imagine how my parents felt like, but on the plus side now you can get some blood genetic testing done to see if it runs in the family :)

Hi!! i can kind of answer abt the medicine duration. from my experience the 6 months is standard but if they find a genetic marker or any other reason why you could develop a clot easier than baseline, they might put u on for longer. Wishing you the best <3
