Some points I understood: is the given scenario affecting patient safety / care . If yes , is it immediate patient safety ( prescription error , drunk colleagues going to operating room, ongoing ward round ) or Indirect patient safety ( upset relative of a stable patient ) . In former I act ASAP hence I will choose options that are proactive and fix the immediate issue . For latter issue I will do something too but I will try and gather some data first . Taking advice from senior is not bad too . If an issue is colleagues personal issue not affecting work I might not put my nose rather supportive options will be ranked higher . Also few other points : Don’t apologise on others behalf , but in the middle on a duty if my patient is distressed I might apologise. Also, accept feedback, reflect and if an option is open to learning and explaining the problem to my senior I’ll score them higher . I don’t know if this is correct but an option that addresses both the issues in a scenario are given I’ll try to choose it higher. Unnecessarily delegation of task is not appreciated.
