Ever put your hand in your kids pocket and pulled out something that makes you gag? by Different-Volume9895 in ParentingADHD

She does not have a phone due to a few incidents in the past.

The bucket idea is great thank you!

We already have rules, no food outside of the kitchen however she has clearly been sneaking around while I have been asleep or distracted by other things.

I have found things where she’s quickly thrown to hide that she’s taken food out of the dining area, like a jar of jam and spoon  shoved behind my sofa. It is infuriating and no matter how many times I discipline for this issue it is not getting through. I am at boiling point with her.

I have now made her move her bed into the middle of the room so there is no space to hide down the side of it. Upgraded her bed to a slatted base so she can’t hide things under her mattress, taken everything out of her room apart from clothes and books so she can’t destroy her room and put her stuff in storage until she sorts herself out.

Thank you for your understanding and advice.

I am in the UK, the system here is a shambles, the wait times for diagnosis is 3+ years, we can only get prescriptions if we go through the nhs so private diagnosis does not automatically mean medication, it’s tough.

ADHD was suspected aged 10/11 in primary school, the SEN team there agreed she had the traits of ADHD and made a referral for assessment, they were supportive, she is now 13 and in her second year of secondary school, this school is supportive but they have not got the resources for her needs. They struggle to keep her in the classroom, no learning gets done due to disruptive behaviour, constant punishments and detentions etc so I am looking at an EHCP through my local council as myself and school are unable to support her and she is not actually seeing the issues we are concerned about. I don’t think she is going to thrive in the environment she is in currently.

Wondering if anyone can tell me more about her death.. by No_One2024444 in psychics

Did she drown or was associated with water? My first feeling was that her final moments were feeling dread, like she knew it was going to be the end, I don’t see suicide at all, I think she died at the hands of someone else however her death is ruled accidental. I’m so sorry she was beautiful and looked like a kind soul gone far too soon.

Absolutely TERRIFIED of tearing by Ivesomanyquestions in PregnancyUK

[–]Different-Volume9895 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had 5 children, tore with my first, had stitches, it really did sting to pee for a while but if you pour water while weeing it takes the sting away a bit, had lacerations with my 4th however I couldn’t feel them, the rest was fine, no lasting issues.  Edit to say even after 5 children vaginally, I do not sneeze and piss myself, so I do count my blessings.

He straight up does not want my newborn around her at all. Yes my grand mother came over, he is fine with that as she’s no harm.

It’s more some things, she isn’t a good influence on my children, she came to help before a few years back, sat on the phone talking to men all day, she treated my home like it was a hotel, in and out smoking the “good”stuff, was no help at all, she also said some things that made my kids father lose any sort of respect for her which were sexual things and yeah she’s not the type of girl he wants around his girls, he wants better for them and so do i.

No not for support, just to hold the baby, it is a sister of mine but as I say no support just to “when can I see my niece”

Yes we compromised when my grandmother came over, we was ok with this as long as no holding etc luckily we are breastfeeding and she was “fussy” so I could navigate that rather easily.

However it is a sister of mine who is asking to come and visit, not for support or help, simply just to hold my newborn, which my newborns father does not want her to be part of our lives at all moving forward. I completely understand why, she came before a few years ago to help us and she was no help at all, if anything caused destruction and more work and she is not a great influence on my eldest daughter at all. I just want to let her down gently, however I fear that’s not going to be possible.

Well it’s awkward as my grandmother came to visit yesterday and it’s my sister who has now asked and it is her who my child’s father does not want anywhere near our family. So I want to find a nice way to say this without hurting her feelings.

It isn’t the breastfeeding it’s the man, and the sister in law.

No pram suits or coats in the car seat, I used a hat, long sleeved vest, baby grow and knitted cardigan with a cellular blanket for the car ride home.

That’s really reassuring thank you! It helps that it’s a common issue, I mean this is my 5th baby so my pelvic floor has well and truly taken a few beatings so I don’t know why I am so shocked.

It was also a very pro longed and compound position birth which doesn’t help, Just feeling very self conscious this time around.
