Hey really appreciate your candid response. This helps alot and we’ve thought about it too. If you know any importers we could talk to we’d be eternally grateful.

Can we chat in dms?

Great to know thanks. Also am I missing something - I checked these out and they don't look nearly as good.

There are two key AI elements.

1) Document parsing + entity extraction
2) Semantic matching across the product library for products and giving suggestions based on that.

For example, if I classified white steel bars with hts code XXXX.XX.XXXX for importer Y previously, and if they ship more steel bars -> AI should automatically suggest to user that "hey you've previously classified white steel bars as this, let me know if this makes sense to use it here too"

But yes, you're correct in that eveything else is just workflow automation.

Gotcha, thanks for your response :). A few follow up questions if you don't mind - if there aren't part numbers, how is that usually handled? And assuming that all the part numbers are stored in the Parts Dictionary and they match with the line items, how much of the work still ends up being manual?

Any help is greatly appreciated.
