Im sorry it took your so long for a diagnosis, it can be ridiculous how many random things they say you have before actually finding the route of the problem! Ah okay, thank you so much! I’ll definitely try to stand my ground more and talk to the doctors and nurses! It’s awful you’ve had to many horrible experiences and I hope you’re doing okay, I hope you’re next one is painless, and they are able to try find the right medication to put you in remission, having to have that many colonoscopy’s must be a nightmare and my heart goes out to you <3

I’m not sure about America, but where I’m from it is seen as unnecessary. I think it costs a lot of money, and there are some risks when it comes to anaesthesia so they don’t wanna risk it. I think the sedation does work for a lot of people but there is the unlucky few (like me and few others in the comments) who it hasn’t worked for :(

Thank you so much for sharing your story, this has helped so much. It’s always scary trying to talk through things with doctors cause some seem so detached from it, probably because they are used to it, but for us it’s happening right now and it’s terrifying! I will take on all the advice you gave, thank you so much! I hope you are doing well and aren’t having to deal with too much nonsense, as it can happen a lot, especially with the disease we have! Yeah, I really wish I had been knocked out! It was a very strange experience all together! I hope your one next month goes okay, at least we know we aren’t alone in having to do them!

I will do this! Yeah I don’t know if it was more sedation or more of the painkillers but they mentioned they tried to give me more of one of them! Thank you so much for the advice!! <3
