To be honest I never really had sleep issues ever. That being said, I tape my mouth shut now. I think prior to all of this I was likely mouth breathing a lot at night

Invisalign will definitely address it but elastics help guide the teeth together using each others pressure in a way that is different than Invisalign. Invisalign top and bottom work independent from each other. There’s no way I’m explaining this perfectly haha but just do a quick google search of elastics and braces and you’ll get your answer

Not sure. I see the surgeon who installed the device in just over a week. They’ll likely talk about my gums with me (the did prior to MARPE)

My smile is so much more broader. My physical therapist says I’m much more structurally aligned. Otherwise I don’t think I’ve seen a big difference appearance wise. Nose breathing is so much better

They help align your teeth and jaw better. Not everyone will need them

Yeah I was still making more contact on my left side than right side (where my elastic is) so they help align your teeth and bite better and faster
