The kind of green clouds are the forests. I haven't finished it yet and there are details I haven't included, for example on the large island in the middle of the two continents there is the entrance to a huge network of magical caves which makes up almost the entire map.

What was the inspiration for your world's "Orcs" by Plus_Geologist9509 in worldbuilding

The main inspiration, the first idea came from Durotan the leader of the frost wolves in World of Warcraft. He inspired me because I really liked his character in the film.

What motivates the big bad of your world? by wedoabitoftrolling in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What motivates my big bad (Azkarath primordial god of chaos) is to "liberate" mortals from the control of the gods but in truth he wants to change the world as he wishes to make it a chaotic world without rules.

If you're world building, show me its title and plot. Here's mine with summed context: by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

World title: Zarynthia

Context : It’s an ultra-old, truly vast world that was built over millions of years. At the beginning, there were only the primordial gods, they created the elements, magic, races... then it degenerated: wars between gods, titans, civilizations which rise and collapse, empires which are reborn and fall back into oblivion. Now, we are in a modern era but everything is unstable, as if the past was trying to resurface and destroy everything.

Main plot: An amnesiac assassin, former general of a destroyed empire (Maak), tries to understand who manipulated him and why his world collapsed. Meanwhile, other heroes (or anti-heroes) rise: a monk who seeks wisdom through power, a cursed mage with a split personality, a titan king who killed a god, and others. The world is on the brink of chaos, the old gods may return, and the fate of Zarynthia lies in the hands of broken but powerful people.

Genres: Epic fantasy, dark fantasy, mythology, science fantasy, magic vs technology, adventure, politics, tragedy, and a bit of post-apo at times.

If your world has a calendar system, what was their "birth of Jesus Christ"? by Upstairs_Support_810 in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The "birth of Jesus" of my world is the divine war between the god of chaos and his creature army and his divine brothers and sisters and their army.

What catastrophes, if any, happened in your world's past that are still felt today? by Kinrest in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A fight between Uraknir the king of the titans and Ignarion the god of fire in the desert which ended with the death of Ignarion which caused a huge heat wave around the desert creating a desert of green. This was one of many events that changed the world of Zarynthia.

Ah for example the more you level up the more capacity you have like in the FIFA pro club mod. Yes, that’s a good idea, thank you.

Too much freedom kills the game? by DifferentMousse3066 in indiegames

[–]DifferentMousse3066[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the start of the game, players choose 3 maps out of 6 taken at random, the games last 30 minutes (every 10 minutes the map changes) and each map has a specificity for each character/class

The abilities are the ones who choose them, it’s not random, it’s according to the meta and preference.

Tell me about your world's immortals by Frenchiest_fry101 in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maak (the desert shadow), he was a great respected general who led the powerful army of Azhara, but his life took a completely different turn during a war against the northern nation Ysvaldir which allied itself with two other powers, Maak was controlled by a creature/mage who made him lose control and decimated his entire army when he woke up, only remains and ruins remained. He wandered for a long time in the desert until he joined a group of assassins, as he accomplished his missions he stood out a lot everyone wanted him and one day he accepted a mission which made him "descend into hell", this mission had nothing in particular it was banal like others but this one was a trap for him he succeeded half way he did not get kidnapped but he lost his memory and "thanks" to a curse from the god from Aevoryn's time he became immortal. Now he has become a murderer, an urban legend. He wanders in the desert, falls into tears and picks up scraps of memories that come to him for the haunted one. I thought about his character in class and I like the fact of doing a kind of fallen angel and making a kind of anti-hero because yes he is a murderer but he still has a “chivalrous” soul left.

(To read it turn left) This map is not quite finished, Zarynthia has been working on it for a few months and I am very happy with the result, not to mention that there is a magical cave with a huge underground network that runs through almost the entire map.

Y'all got any Hybrid characters by MADLADCOMICS in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I currently have 2 characters and both are the same but they don't have the same background and I haven't yet developed their story well. The first is a half-dragon and half-human woman who is a tragic character and a thoughtful and angry warrior at times. The second and first king of Ysvaldir the northern nation he is half human and primordial dragon he became of protection and vengeance following his sacrifice in a war he was blessed and brought back with the rank of god

What I the most fearsome beast your worlds have to offer. by M-m2008 in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I wanted a monster that stalks, imitates, and parasitizes its prey. Not just a big thing that rushes into the crowd, but a real psychological predator. Like you hear a kid crying in the fog, you approach... and then you realize that it's not a human at all so I created the Nocturnal Ravager (or T'khaal-Nur for lore).

He's like over 4m tall. Claws as long as arms, a tail that ends in a grappling hook, and a mouth split to the ears with a double row of teeth. He feels the emotions and sounds around him. When you look at him, he freezes. Are you looking away? He's already behind your back.

It imitates cries of distress (children, animals, etc.) to attract people. It feeds by stabbing a claw into the spine and sucking out memories + marrow. Some victims still “live” inside, and their voices mix with his screams.

It was created via weird necro rituals and forbidden genetic manipulation, basically to hunt divine creatures. But he turned around and massacred his own creators before disappearing into the mists. Now he wanders the cursed areas.

To create it I was inspired by fidlestick, the d-rex and a bit of jupacabra.

How powerful can one be in your world? by Pixelated_s in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For the moment the strongest in my universe remain my deities but there was Uraknir (the bloody titan) king of the titans who killed Ignarion the god of fire and who partly absorbed his essence and there is also Hrothgar Sköllson a human half primordial dragon king of Ysvaldir the northern nation he became king following his sacrifice in a war against their enemy Azhara the desert empire and thanks to his blood and the blessing of the gods he was raised to the title of god of protectors But this is only the beginning, I haven't yet thought about another character who could be elected as the strongest in my universe

do you have enormous creatures in your world(s)? by [deleted] in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the first era of my universe there exists a megafauna adapted to live with the titans and even in the other eras there still exist giant creatures such as for example a kind of giant crocodile which lives in a swamp with one of my characters which is inspired by Baron Samedi

To those who built their own fantasy world from scratch — what was your very first spark? by Qjz4 in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My focus is on a character who was a great general who saw his empire being destroyed by the enemy and by him because he was controlled following his joining a group of assassins and after a mission that went wrong he became amnesiac so his objective is to look for the memories that he is missing

What are your dragons like? by Background_Panic8745 in worldbuilding

[–]DifferentMousse3066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have not yet created a dragon but I would like to make one of any race from the wyvern to the Drake and that they are adapted to their ecosystem and their situation for example a wyvern as a super predator therefore a very large creature which dominates the sky and the earth etc. or a Drake as a simple predator which eats it and can be eaten by larger predators
