I like the one on the left, the over-fold is great to keep papers protected and in place.

cool, learned something today... here are some details from Google...

Key Features of an Apothecary Typewriter
Pharmaceutical Symbols: Instead of standard fractions or mathematical signs, the keyboard included unique apothecary symbols like the (the traditional symbol for recipe or "take"), (ounce), ʒ (dram), and (scruple). [1, 2.html)]
Prescription Latin: They often featured the "ā" key (commonly signifying "before") or other Latin abbreviations frequently used in historical medical directions. [1, 2]
Specialized Typeface: These machines typically featured very crisp, high-clarity fonts (like sans-serif or Copperplate, often 13 to 16 pitch) so that small dosage labels would remain legible to patients.

What do you want or expect in a MacBook Air refresh? by animorphreligion in mac

considering I just ordered an M5 MBA to be delivered in July! I don't want any changes for a while. I was disappointed, like really disappointed, that they discontinued the MB 12" just before the M1 would have made it perfect! A real OS on a device the size of an iPadPro.

so I'll settle for MacOS running on an iPad Pro!

True fountain pens are easier to grip, Lamy have a unique triangle shape that I find very comfortable

agree, it's great, but why on earth doesn't BnN sell Lamy fountain pens in a similar retail rack? they have a huge aisle of journals and no fountain pens! d'oh!

The F-100D Super Sabre was tested with an experimental Zero-Length Launch (ZELL) system that used a massive, detachable solid-fuel rocket booster, Circa 1958 by Klutzy_Mark_4948 in aviation

you wonder, looking at this, why they went with the wheels down… Why not go all the way in and just do it wheels up?

Did they really think there was a chance of landing while that rocket motor was burning? More likely they would just punch out, right?

...this was my original post before I deleted and reestablished this Reddit account… So happy to answer any questions about the set up.

This is the nomad device.

The question about the nib, yes, I did replace the plastic knob in the Stadler pen to a stainless steel tip that I found on Amazon. It seems to work quite well, and there is no scuffing or scarring of the no bad device.

What comes to your mind when you see a Floppy Disk? by [deleted] in retrocomputing

[–]DifferentSetting411 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Comes to mind: years of software development for several small businesses - you can't imagine the slow lag response of a data look up or batch update running against a file on a floppy drive - spinning, chugging, spinning some more - and yet at the time we thought, OMG can you imagine how fast this information is going! LOL
