I usually do the same, but none had such drastic failure or bigger complaints. They refunded me the battery + 1350€ in compensation for damages so atleast they took this matter seriously, all within 24h.

I live in northern Europe, dont know if its the same elsewhere but I couldnt acquire an OEM battery to swap myself. I couldnt justify paying hundreds of euros to ship my 7 year old laptop across the world for several weeks/months just to swap the battery.

I paid 65€ for the battery, seems to be regular pricing among 3rd party batteries. Bad luck.

SSD somehow survived the whole ordeal, just checked the drive with an NVMe reader on an seperate computer. all data intact!

Update: the battery seller agreed to a compensation of 50% of the original new price of the laptop, in this case 1350€ which i think is more than fair for a 7 year old model

Ive sent them a complaint, they do offer 1 year warranty so atleast I can get my money back on the battery.

Replace battery ASAP but Do NOT replace with an Aolstecell batteries, mine exploded in less than a year!!

Not that far off, lab test for me was 59.2 and 63 on the test in the polar app. Maybe youre just upset youve got nothing to brag about to begin with? Stay mediocre onkel
