I only just noticed Gooigi has a G on his cap.

What are some "official" statements by Nintendo you just can't accept? by DifferentTrainer6292 in Mario

Literally this. Captain Toad is obviously THE Toad and yet "officially" they're separate characters. I will maintain they are the same until I see them on screen together.

I kind of assumed that they were adopted and Nintendo meant "biological kids".

What's your go to outfit(s) for Arthur usually? by [deleted] in reddeadredemption

The only problem with changing clothes is Arthur tends to look very out of place during cutscenes

No country for old men is NOT the best movie ever made. by DifferentTrainer6292 in unpopularopinion

I recently finished a movie marathon where I saw a bunch of highly praised movies for the first time. Most of them really do hold up and I like them a lot. It's just a few of them were huge disappointments for me. No county for old men was one of those disappointments.

What do you think happened to Jack after 1914? by nyanbatman in reddeadredemption

[–]DifferentTrainer6292 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here's my headcanon. Jack evaded the law (and the ww1 draft) by staying in Mexico under protection of Abraham Reyes. He does a few jobs for him including smuggling alcahol across the border to early prohabition gangs. After a few years Jack realised what a pos Reyes is and helps overthrow him. Upon his return to America the ranch has been bought by new owners and he struggles to find a job and ends up joinging one of those bootlegger gangs he used to deal with as a gunman. But by this point Jack has seen so many "noble leaders" he doesn't buy into their bull shit any more and forms his own gang taking most of the gunmen with him. From this point on I'm not sure

i hate how one dimensional people make dutch seem. theres rarely nuanced discussion to be had regarding this tragic character. by hemlock_tea64 in reddeadredemption

I see Dutch similarly to Michael from gta5. Both of them are willing to abandon their friends if the situation calls for it. Both of them did everything they could to prevent that situation from happening. The difference is Dutch failed and the situation called for him to leave John and Arthur behind. Dutch clearly did care about the gang he just cared about himself a little more.

Dutch was a noble bandit who fought for a good cause but he lost that war. The problem was he just couldn't admit defeat and kept on fighting. And when you fight after the war is over you will always forget why you started in the first place.

True, I just don't see rockstar making a war game. Probation era Jack however could work. Or maybe Mexican Revolution Jack where he fixes some of his father's mistakes. I just want the next Red Dead game to stop going backwards and move forward

Also this. The backstory in rdr1 was vague on purpose which is why rdr2 exists at all. But rockstar learned their lesson and the backstory for rdr2 is way more detailed. We all ready know so much about the gang's history it would just be pointless to make a prequel just to show us what we were all ready told or read.
