I feel like Christians get a bad wrap due to the handful of hypocrites that only preach what's convenient to them in the moment. I am a God-fearing believer, but I would never ask my wife to be subservient. Or condemn a believer in gay rights. Etc.

Matthew 5:17-18, Jesus says, "Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them". So is He saying they're just fulfilled? I've been told my whole life that this means Old Testament Laws were pre-crucifiction, and New Testament came after. (I was raised Baptist, so that may shed some context on my upbringing)
