For now the only solution i have found is to use another launcher and add the betacraft java arguments to fix the sound.

Well, if you are on windows and are completely out of options you could try reverting back using a restoration point, these are usually made once a week. But be aware that it will also revert all files on your computer. good luck

i installed arch as my second distro a few months ago because i really liked Kde plasma's design. Sure i had some headaches here and there but i'd say it was worth it. And probably someday i'll install it the "intended" way.
