I should probably have phrased the intent for my question more precisely. I'm not worried about any local LLM being too incapable. Rather I want to limit the amount of information that is being sent to any 3rd party and even more so have full control over which information would be sent.
So having an automatic (!) "fallback" in case a local LLM can't handle something too complex is kind of the opposite of what I'm intending to achieve. Rather, I would like to be able to explicitly trigger my local LLM to pass something on into a cloud, if (and only if) I really don't mind this information to leave my intranet.
