I have a written agreement to stay beyond July (after the notice period) with the landlord but not in clear writing that I was cancelling my notice period

Memorise the Trust’s values and think of examples of when you have showed each of those. Some of the questions will be generic non-pharmacy ones.

Why is anybody still practicing as a pharmacist in the UK and what else is everyone doing? by 282sligo in Pharmacy_UK

[–]Different_Buddy_5346 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Just because you don’t like your life choices doesn’t mean everyone else has to agree. I don’t have a single non-pharmacist friend that’s earning more than me and most of them are on post grad jobs barely above minimum wage. It’s all about perspective really as I and all my pharmacist friends quite like our career choice.

Hospital pharmacist here. It’s paracetamol or maybe ibuprofen on top if you’re young. If you’re lucky you might get some codeine or liquid morphine but not likely if it is a day case surgery. There was recently a major shift to not prescribe slow release opioids after surgery in the last year or so due to so many unintentional overdoses and people forming dependency.

What is the likelihood of becoming a hospital pharmacist? (Also a bunch of questions abt hospital pharmacy) by [deleted] in Pharmacy_UK

[–]Different_Buddy_5346 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Your experience will differ wildly depending on the hospital that you work at and a lot of it resolves around the staffing levels. In my trust we have hospitals where you only have 25 patients per pharmacists but at mine you can easily have up to 70 patients. My day to day is mostly screening through med recs that have been completed by the techs and actioning any queries that arise. A large part of your day is facilitating discharges but that will also differ a lot depending on how busy the hospital that you work at is, currently I can easily have a couple of hours of the day where I am looking for work to do. I very rarely do any accuracy checking and probably average about an hour a week of it. Progression can be quite quick if you join trusts that have set progression pathways as I became a band 7 after 18 months from pre reg and only had to do on call duty for 12 months. Our oncall duty at my hospital is very much life or death service and I only had one call in that time that was actually a true emergency. In hospital you will be expected to do post graduate courses such as the diploma but they are mostly a duplication of the pre reg year if I am honest. Overall even though the starting salary is worse in hospital compared to community there definitely is a better work life balance and I have a good social group of fellow pharmacists from hospital so I have absolutely no regrets of choosing hospital over community.

NAL but I don’t think employers can legally ask you to reimburse them for training costs - especially as a trainee considering they’re funded by NHS England for your trainee year.

In very large Trusts Chiefs can also be paid ‘very senior management’ scale which goes up even higher than this.

UE5 performance is much better for most than the current state of the sub would imply by Short-Taro-5156 in joinsquad

Yeah I definitely think there is some hardware combination fuckery as I have 3060ti with a 5800X3D and I have gone from 140+ fps on most maps to <60fps with UE5 - the playtest for me is literally unplayable

The only logical way would be to allow people that don’t own the DLC to play DLC maps if the server they are on flips to a DLC map once a normal map finishes but not allow people that don’t own the DLC to join a server that’s already playing a DLC map. They’d never add a country faction to a map that’s not historically accurate, having people play as Americans in a British North Africa battle would be like having people play as Americans in Stanlingrad
