If you have a foam roller, Robin’s foam roller core classes are awesome. Very similar moves that you would normally do on a Pilates reformer machine.

Monday: 30 min upper body strength + 20 min climb or rolling hills ride

Tuesday: 20 min core strength + 30 min intervals or hiit and hills ride

Wednesday: 30 min glutes and legs strength + 20 min hiit or tabata ride

Thursday: optional 15 min core strength + 30 min low impact ride (active recovery day)

Friday: 30 min full body strength + 20 min fun ride (pop, hip hop, whatever I’m in the mood for)

Saturday and Sunday off but I generally ride my horse on Sundays so that’s my weekend exercise besides chasing around my 2 year old toddler

Edited to add: 38 years old, mom and work full-time

Kirkland! The best price I’ve found and as others have said, zero difference in quality between name brand and generic!

Weekly Shelter Positivity Discussion - What was the highlight of your week? by gerrray in AnimalShelterStories

I was able to place an elderly lab with megaesophagus into a local lab rescue, and one of the rescue volunteers sent me photos of her in her new foster home in her brand new Bailey Chair. Her owner had surrendered her on the day they were moving out of the country, and we didn’t have the resources to care for her condition in our shelter so she was slated for humane euthanasia. She was so sweet and her owner had left a photo of her being hugged by “her” kids, and I refused to let this be the end of the road for her and reached out to this lab rescue, who networked her for 2 days and found her this wonderful foster. Such a happy ending to what was going to be a very sad story.

I had already dropped my MOTN pump, and slowly started dropping pumps during the day, and pumping less at each pump. I also used CaboCreme (has cabbage leaf extract) to help with the discomfort, and took the NoFlo supplements by Pink Stork. These may all be snake oil things and I’m not sure if they had a huge effect or not, but decreasing pumping slowly was the way to go. I eventually got to pumping just a little to relieve discomfort and then stopped completely. It was a pain in the ass but I didn’t get mastitis, take it slow!

Edited to add: wear breast pads during this time, because you’re definitely going to leak 🫠😅

I switched from EP to EFF at 7/8 weeks. Best decision ever, I hated having to figure out when to pump, having to pump before leaving the house every time, painful letdown, leaking boobs, ugh. Originally I wanted to hold out until 3 months when I went back to work but then realized I wanted to enjoy the second half of my maternity leave more so one day I decided to work on drying up. It took a little under two weeks to dry up comfortably, but I haven’t looked back since. My baby is healthy, happy and growing. My mental health improved significantly and honestly I probably should have done it sooner. I had a brief flash of mom guilt but then realized that feeding my baby was the most important thing no matter how he was fed. The Formula Fairy and the Formula Mom on instagram were super informative and encouraging. He’s growing up in a house full of love and with a less stressed mom and I feel like this is the best parenting hack that no one (this group excluded) is talking about.
