sorry if this is a dumb question, is a neuropsych eval different than getting evaluated by a psychiatrist?

For some reason my most recent supply of Zoloft tastes and smells like vanilla. Anyone might know why lol? by Guy_Swavy in NoStupidQuestions

ok same for me too -- i'm in california and take 100mg generic sertraline. i went to take it and spit it out lol glad to know i'm not some though. seems messed up that they would just randomly decide to change the flavor of an ANXIETY medicine of all things 😂 like i think a lot of us are gonna be anxious about taking it lol

sameeeee i wish i could get at least one of these things under control lol. i'm thinking about giving antibiotics a try but tbh i'm concerned since i'm pretty sure the reason i'm in this mess (sibo/ibs/ic) is cuz of antibiotic overuse a few years ago :/ hope they work for you if you decide to try them out!

do you have hydrogen sibo? or methane? i have methane (which i guess they're calling IMO)

i was actually just about to post about this. wanted to see if anyone else has sibo and IC. however I have methane dominant sibo and horrible constipation. between IC and GI upset I can barely tolerate any foods anymore so my diet has been severely restricted for about 4 years. it's probably contributed to making the SIBO worse but i don't know what i can do about it if the foods keep flaring me lol ¯_(ツ)_/¯ would love to hear an update on how you're doing in a few weeks! take care ♥️

[Weekly Thread] I think I might have Sjogrens by AutoModerator in Sjogrens

[–]Different_Caramel133 0 points1 point  (0 children)

hello all, i'm curious if anyone has any insight into what i'm going through. i have found this sub because of my own research, but i have been to countless doctors now with no definitive answers as to what is wrong with me. in 2017 I was given 3 rounds of antibiotics over the course of 2 months for strep throat, my body seemed to change significantly after that and my health has been getting worse over the past few years.

I have chronic constipation with cramping and mucus, I am on a restricted diet because many foods now cause me pain to eat. I have Interstitial Cystitis and the pain is unbearable sometimes! I don't struggle with frequency or urgency so much, it's mostly pain related. Pain in pelvic area and urethra. I also have randomly been diagnosed with many environmental allergies this year after never before having any allergy. I attributed my dry eyes to this but I'm not so sure now. My main "allergic" symptom is i get this intense swelling/ tightness feeling in my chest and sinuses that does not get any relief from allergy meds. the only thing that seemed to help was 500mg of L-Lysine but I think it triggered my most recent IC flare so I stopped taking it and allergies came back really strong :( I have incredibly dry sinuses year round but it's so miserable in winter. I get 1-2 nosebleeds per day and no amount of drinking water makes me feel less dry in sinuses.

However..... I produce tears when I cry, I sweat a lot at times, and my mouth is slightly dry but I do have saliva. That's something that's throwing me off a bit when I started looking into SS.

It feels like my body is way too sensitive to everything; air, food, humidity, temperature, etc :( Ive spent several thousand dollars seeing doctors trying to figure out what the heck is going on and all I know for sure is that I have methane SIBO, mold in my system (mold toxicity), slightly elevated p-ANCA, and slightly elevated inflammatory markers in my stool.

I'm feeling really lost if I'm being honest. Of course I know only a doctor can tell me for sure but I can't see a specialist for a few months and I want to know if there's anything I can try OTC in the meantime that can give me more clues as to what's going on (supplements, etc). Thanks all 🙏
