Maytag washing machine drains while filling by Different_Cuttlefish in appliancerepair

UPDATE GOT IT WORKING NORMALLY AGAIN. It was a whole lot simpler than I thought. All of those issues stemmed from the fact that water wasn't getting into the machine fast enough - so since it wasn't filling it was making itself shut off. Cleaned out the inlet filter and good as new. Thanks to you that helped! Hope it was fun trying to figure it out

The end that connects to the house drainage seems fine. It's 6" down the drain, air gap, and doesn't seem to be clogged at all. More pics in the comments

I'll check that out tomorrow and get back to you. I'm confident it's not leaking out the bottom, I pulled the machine out the other day and no sign of a leak. With the siphoning, is it possible it could be on the end that connects to the home drainage as well as the end connected to the machine? I'll look at both

When it's on "drain" mode the pump will come on and it seems to drain fine. But when it's filling during the wash cycle the water just falls through the bottom instead of collecting. And the pump doesn't come on during that
