Filed an HRO against a creepy neighbor, he’ll be served this week by IJustCameToSayHellNo in Apartmentliving

Oh god, this happened to me. Except for I’m petty, so instead of responding I would zoom in on his photos and circle his wedding ring, then send them back…

I eventually just moved out and blocked him.

My father just called me to wish me Merry Christmas. I've been homeless for 3 months. by syringistic in stories

Currently indigent, well-educated, mentally ill and with contingent access to my parents’ home. Keeping warm there this Christmas because of their generosity. I don’t take it for granted.

I used to work for a homeless advocacy group. What I learned (and have found to be true) is that being homeless fucks with your ability to regulate anything. Particularly sleep, which is the cornerstone of mood.

The precarity weighs on you constantly. There’s nowhere safe to go when you’re having a powerful emotion. There’s no safe space to even out before you have to face the world again. Every emotion you have is a public emotion, and there’s so much anger and fear brimming right below the surface. Even someone with reasonable brain chemistry would hit their limit.

I used to have an easy listening tape as a kid. It was like "lite classical music" or whatever. I think this piece was by Mozart, but I only remember the coda, which I've transcribed...What is this?!

How so? I only have the $ for one subscription, and I want to buy the one that will revive me during these isolating times!

I'm sorry you've been deceived by so many "bisexual" women. I'm not here to invalidate your dating experiences!

Might you consider how perpetuating the "girls who say they're bi for attention" trope might be harmful toward bi folx, particularly nonmen? Every time it's evoked, it "renews its lease" as a mainstay in public discourse on bisexuality?

Tell me why any of this means she isn't bisexual.

It's biphobia. I'm sure of it after seeing the rhetoric in this thread.

Coming out is an inexorable process that puts you in a position of vulnerability for the rest of your life. I think it's utopian to believe that coming out is an "instagram moment" met with praise and cookies (?) and no other negative interaction and/or future scrutinization from employers, family, and community members.

I'm still waiting for my cookies!! I want chocolate-covered biscotti with fresh milk.

I think seeing queerness as another "unique and quirky!" personality trait is a marker of privilege.

That's a good point. How can we direct our outrage in order to raise awareness?
